His Confession

chapter 24 Alexa's Thoughts

Dinner was fun with Alexa making short conversations here and there. Ryan looked and Alexa and thought what did he do in the past that made him so lucky to get a girl like Alexa. He never fell so hard for a girl as much as he did for Alexa. She was the sunlight in his dark world of secrets and violence. Ryan was a bad guy, he accepted this long time ago when he killed her. He knew his life is going to be miserable soon after the moment he joined the underground boxing championship.  He knew that girls that come in his life is just for money and fame. He never wanted any girl who would just throw themselves at him. He wanted a girl who respects herself, who loved herself and above all who accepted his darkness. Since the moment he saw Alexa in the cafe, all he could do is think about her, the way she smiles, the way she gets completely engrossed in her work that she didn't recognize who is passing by or what other people are doing around her. Ryan saw the innocence in her eyes, the way she first looked at him in the cafe. He always wondered what it would feel like to kiss her. Then again the way her lips felt while they kissed in the dark corner of the grocery store was something that made him fall deeper for her. He then realized that they still haven't talked about it, after the kiss he was so engrossed in finding Jhon and learning his plan that he completely forgot about it.

" RYAN ??" alexa called loudly.
" Yes ?"
" Is everything alright ? "
" Yes, why do you ask ?"
" Well, you stopped eating and zoned out. Is the food not good ? or Is there something else troubling you, you can share I am sure there is something we could help ?"
" No, The food is great. Actually i was thinking about the last time I had dinner with my family. It's been long time since mom, dad and i had dinner together. "
" Well, we are your family. Since Cassie, dad and mom are best friends It makes us family friends, which means we are family as well. "
" Sure, princess. " Ryan smiled at her.
Alexa watched him changing the conversation to other topic. Clearly he was not thinking about the dinner or his parents. There is something else. she knew there is something Liam and Ryan are hiding from her. Liam on the lunch told her that he had to visit California for some work. He had to meet one of his friends, she knew he was lying because he didn't have any friends in California. It was suspicious, why would Liam lie to her about something ? She didn't want him to do anything stupid, after she told him what Jhon did to her. He was surprisingly calm and not worriedor atleast he didn't show that he was angry. That was not the Liam she knows. She knew that he was lying because once when she was 10 years old, a boy in her class gave her a flower and told her that she looked beautiful. She was so happy that day. she went home and told Liam and her parents what happend at the school. Next day Liam came to her with his friends during lunch and asked who the boy was when she pointed at him, he and his friend beat up the boy to pulp untill the headmaster interrupted them. He got a week suspension but all he kept saying was, stay away from my sister. She couldn't believe her eyes. That was the first time she saw him so angry. The worse part was her dad was proud of him. She put the dishes in the sink and washed her hands, after everyone finished dinner she washed the plates and put them back in their place. They all sat together in the living room watching movies when Ryan announced that he had to meet Roman for some work. Liam nodded and went back to watch movies. Alexa did not like it, it was second day in a row he was going out late at night and coming in the morning. Although she could not say anything, 1. beacuse it was his house, 2. because she does not hold any power over him and 3. because she don't know what she is to him or what their relationship is called. she couldn't figure out whether it was a boss-employee relation or a friend-friend relation or friends with benefits relation.
She started listing out the possibilities. He didn't let her call himself as her boss and basically forced her to call him by his name so its not a boss-employee relation, they basically kissed each other in a corner of a grocery store like a wild animals so definitely not a friendship like relation, but he did not even talk about it ever again, like he was embarrassed about it. Or he chose not to talk about it. Then again he looks at her like he wants to keep her lovingly and happy but he keeps ignoring her. Since the day they kissed he didn't even look at her or acknowledged her, He was not bound to do but still he did that before they kissed. Did he not like it ? or maybe he thinks i am pathetic and in need of attention. Ofcourse, that maybe the case, since he is so hot that he could have any girl he wants, who would give him or do whatever he wants them to do. Why would he have a pathetic, weak girl like her ? Thinking that she concluded that he did not like her anymore and he is just doing her a favour by giving her a place because her dad had trained him. Although it might also be that she is overthinking situation and he was not doing this on purpose. She thought that she would see another week or so that he is actually ignoring her or is it just the situation.

She saw him all ready in white shirt and black jeans with a black leather jacket on it. He looks hot she thought. She has to do something she was to know whether he likes her or is he just doing this beacuse he thinks like he has to. She will find out in a week and she has got a plan for it as well. she smirked to herself thinking about the plan and turned around to see Laim looking at her intently.
" what ?"
" Why are you smirking ?"
" Am i ?" She asked innocently.
" What are you thinking ?"
" Nothing. Just that this house is beautiful, I would like one for myself."
" Well, You can always stay here. He seems like he wants us here."
" We can't live here without paying him anything.  He would not ask us since dad trained him you know out of respect."
" Well, I don't know maybe you should work for him in free, and not take any paychecks, like your and mine daily rent."
" And you would just enjoy here while I work my ass off. That reminds me, i have some files to finish. You go on watch the movie and figure out a way to pay him back while i complete the files."
" I still vote for you working free for him and paying the rent."
" That is not a solution, think of something else." Alexa said while going up in her room.
