I woke up early the next morning, like at 8:30. I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth. I hadn’t even noticed myself in the mirror so when i did it was a shocker. I still had makeup on from last night, and it was smudged all over my face. I took it off and decided to let my face be plain today. I noticed the bruises on my face. They were still black and purple. I had a feeling they would be there for a long time. I went out of the bathroom. Andy was already awake and was bringing out my bags to the living room. “Good morning sunshine.” he said. “Good morning.” i said to him.
Then i heard something from outside. Sounded like a giant engine. I went outside to look. I saw the tour bus outside of my house. Ashley and Jake came out. “Hello there!” Jake said. Andy came outside with me. “Hey, i thought you guys were’nt coming until 10.” Andy said. “Well, we got bored. We didn’t want to wait.” Ashley said, “How are you miss Virginia?” Ashley asked me. “Im great! Im excited.” i said. “Well good!” Jake said.
“Hey, Virginia, don’t look now but i think you have an audience.” Andy said. I looked to where Andy was pointing. There i saw the same brunette little girl who made my last weeks of my Junior year a load of crap: Rachel. “Ill take care of this.” i said before walking to her.
“What are you doing here Rachel? Shouldn’t you be at your boyfriends house?” i asked when i got up to her. “I came out to see what all the noise was” she said, “Whats going on here? And what happened to you?” Rachel asked. “Oh look who decided to take a little interest in someone else in her life. Devonte attacked me. And if you must know, Im going on the road. With my boyfriend and his friends.” i told her. “You got a boyfriend?” she asked in a way that said “someone actually likes you”? “Yes i do, Rachel. Believe it or not, people like me no matter what you say about me to them.” i said. “I was only warning them you know. One little thing can set you off, and its always something really stupid.” she said with a snarky attitude. I was starting to get mad.
“You really think you can break me, don’t you?” i said, “well guess what. Nothing you say, or do will ever phase me. Ive been to hell and back, and you talking about me to other people just proves that your to caught up in your only 'perfect’ life to realize that i don’t care. If anything it makes me stronger. And honestly people were telling me about what you said and they thought that you were a little bitch for saying it.” The look on her face started to become a look of defeat. “Are you done yet?” she asked. “No, im not.” i said. “Rachel no matter how many times i would sit down with you and talk to you about how the 'jokes’ you say are hurtful to me, you still do them. You know how many times i have let tears fall on the floor because of that? Or do you even care? Thats my real problem with you, is that you never seemed to care about anything unless it something to do with you.” i stopped. “Are you done now?” she asked. “Yes, i am. And let me tell you, you have no idea how long i have been wanting to say something to you about that. Now if you’ll excuse me, my boyfriend is waiting for me. Goodbye Rachel.” and i left. I never looked back at her.
“Everything OK?” Andy asked when i got back up to him. “Yea, i just had to clear some things over. Its all good now,” i said, “Shall we load up?” i asked. “We got everything in the bus while you were over there. So lets head out!” Jake said. I went back up to my front door to lock it. I went back down to the bus and got on. This would be the start of some pretty amazing adventures.
I got on the bus. CC and Jinxx were sitting on the couch talking. “Hey guys!” i said when i walked on. “Hey there she is!” CC said getting up to hug me. “how are you?” he asked. “Im good, im glad to be here finally.” i said. Jinxx got up and came over to me. “Hey, how are you?” Jinxx said hugging me. “Great!” i said hugging back. I looked over and noticed another girl sitting on the couch. She had long kind of dark red hair with black tints in it. She looked at me and smiled. “Virginia, this is my fiance’ Sammi.” Jinxx said. Sammi came up to me. “Oh, Hi! Nice to meet you Sammi.” i said. “Nice to meet you, I heard about your attack. I hope your OK.” she said. “Im doing OK, in not as sore anymore and now i just feel numb, which reminds me!” i said, “good news people, the guy who attacked me is in jail.” i announced. Everyone started cheering. “Good! that asshole is off the street!” Ashley said. Andy popped up behind me and hugged me. “Ill show you to your bunk.” he said.
He led me over to where all the bunks were. It was a whole area sectioned off from the rest of the bus. Andy showed me mine. It was way in the back, but it was right across from him. I set my bag down on my bunk. “This is so awesome!” i said looking around the entire bus. The bus started to move. We went back to the living area of the bus. I sat down on the couch next to Sammi, and looked out the window, and watched my neighborhood go by. I must say, it will be awesome just to get away from everything for a while.
All the guys sat down around me and stared at me. “What?” i asked awkwardly. “How did your date with Andy go?” Ashley asked. “Y’all are really asking me about that?” i said. they all nodded. “It was amazing. We went to the state fair and watched fireworks.” i said. “Aww!” CC said. I blushed. “Well we are very happy for you guys, and happy that you are here.” Jake said. “Yea, or else i would be alone in all of these male hormones raging around!” Sammi said. I chuckled. “OK guys, let the girl breathe!” Andy said butting in and sitting down next to me. “Hey we were just saying you two make a great couple.” CC said. “Yup,” Andy agreed, “she is definitely a keeper.” he looked at me and kissed my cheek.
We spent the day on the bus just chilling and having a good time talking. It reminded me of the first day i met everyone. The bus started to make funny noises. “What the hell was that?” Jake said. Nobody knew. We felt the driver pull over to the side. When the bus stopped we got out to see what happened. The front of the bus was smoking. Something must be up with the engine. The bus driver told us that the engine has somehow bursted into flames, and it would take a while to fix, and that we wouldn’t be able to sleep in it tonight. “Well what the hell are we gonna do?” Jinxx asked. I noticed a road sign up ahead listing some hotels off the next exit. I pointed it out to everyone. “Looks like we don’t have a choice.” Ashley said.
We waited for a tow-truck to come by to collect the bus. The tow truck driver was kind enough to drop us off at a nice Marriott that was close. We all got there and CC and Jake went inside to get us all rooms. I walked up to Andy. “Well this sucks.” i said. “Yeah, i hope the bus gets fixed soon, or else we will have alot of upset fans.” he said. I rubbed his back comforting him. “Its gonna be fine. They said they will have it up and running by noon at the latest tomorrow.” i said. He looked at me. He wrapped his arm around me and kissed the top of my head. “Im really glad your here.” he said smiling. “Glad to be here.” i said back before kissing him.
