The first time he saw her, she was walking out of the grocery store. It was a late September night. The air had a bit of a chill and it was about to snow the weather man had said. Luke really didn't want to be here. He had gone inside and got the stupid things his wife had asked for. She was starting to be a big pain, now that she was pregnant.
When he got back to his car and sat down he turned his car on and waited for it to heat up. He looked straight at her as the automatic doors opened up just for her the light reflecting off of her. To him she looked like an angel. With her light skin and soft long brown hair. She was dressed in Jeans old worn out shoes and a red sweater under her grey jacket. His next thoughts were what car is she going into and made a little promise a rule that he had always kept in situations like this. He could stare and admire her till she got into her car. But this unfortunate night she didn't get into a car. Instead she walked away. Caring her two bags in hand and walked down the street to the right of the store. He couldn't help himself. He followed her. He had not broken any of his rules. He just wanted another look and the perfect creature.
He follower her down two blocks before she walked up the steps of a cream colored house with forest green shutters. She unlocked the door and walked right in. He stayed parked across the street for more then three hours. He saw lights come on down stairs. Then off and one up stairs to the right it was her bedroom. He watched through the window some light green curtains didn't hid much of what was going on inside. She sat at her desk doing home work and talking on the phone and at one point she got up and changed into a big baggy sweater and leggings. Luke couldn't tear his eyes away.
By this point he could no longer ignore his phone and looked down just to see he had several missed calls from his wife. He turned his car on and drove back home only to notice that he pasted by this street everyday on his way to work. How lucky was he.
For the next several weeks he would park out side her house just to watch her. He had learned that she went shopping once a week and her mother was the only one home. She walked at an office job where she would stay late some nights and go out on the weekends. But his girl, as Luke like to think, was not like her mother she was always at home. Either in her room or in the living room. On night he got luck she was watching a movie down stairs and he got out of his car and walked over to the Livingroom window and stood there as they had their first moment together. In Luke's mind their first date. So little did she know of who he was or where he was.
Amber Rice your average High school girl. Most of interests lied on the internet on group chats with friends. She had just moved to this town about six months so hadn't made to many friends. Her mother had moved her out here after the death of her father he was a military man who had died in action. She was mostly a home body and was comfortable that way.
One night as Luke was watching Ambers mother came home from work earlier then expected. He was upset that his time with Amber had been interrupted. He watched as they put there jackets on and got in the car and drove away. It was a Friday night so he figured they went out for dinner as they had done that in the passed. He was still mad about it when he noticed that they had not locked the front door.
He jumped out of his car without thinking and walked right over to the door and to his pleasure the door opened when commanded. He walked right in closing it behind him. He walked around looking and studying the house and its content. He walked into Amber's mother's room to find nothing interesting. His heart started pounding the moment he started walking up the stairs. There was two rooms up here one for storage, and the other was Ambers bedroom. The door was closed and when he opened it the room smelled of candle wax and the faintest smell of perfume. He took several deep breaths locking the smell in his memory. He then began to study the room a full size bed in the middle and right by the window was her desk that was covered in every inch of stuff. He studied the pictures and papers. When he was done there he turned to find her red sweater that she like to wear right there on the floor. He picked it up and smelled it. he held it to his face as he took a seat on the bed right where she laid her body every night to sleep. Smelling her and laying there was a new felling of ecstasy for him. He knew in that moment no one was going to stop him from having her and one day she will know who she belonged too.
