As I make my way through this seemingly perfect paradise, my mind feels as if it's decaying with every step I take.

I gotta get the hell out of here.

Memories of my childhood flash before my eyes and seem to burn away like ash in the wind.

I can't seem to concentrate on my surroundings. I fall to my knees and rub my eyes, as if that'll help what I'm seeing.

Free me from this prison.

Dylan's POV

Alicenne is out again. I don't know how long she will be out this time.

It's only been an hour but it feels like forever.

I study her features as she is dormant.

She seems calm and at peace.

I spoke too soon..

Matilda's POV

Dylan appears to be highly upset as he watches her.

He touches her face and hands, but it's as if she's numb. She doesn't stir, just lays there as if she's paralyzed or in a coma.

I read his face, he looks overwhelm with worry.

In a second, Alicenne jolted upwards, her hands clawing at her eyes.

Her screams are deafening.

"STOP! STOP! MAKE IT STOP! I'M NOT INSANE!"

Dylan rushes to her and tries prying her hands from her eyes.

"Alice! Alicenne! Stop! You're safe, we're here!"

Alice looks up at him with tearful eyes.

Her voice is like a barely audible squeak.

"Why is this happening to me?"
