Nikita takes a deep breath before saying, "I know how you feel."

"You do?" He asks a little breathless. She understands it's all too much for him.

Nikita smiles sadly and says, "Trust me, Krish. I do. And I did't like even a bit of it." Krish looks away hearing her words. "It feels like betrayal. . . Being lied to again and again. . Something everyone hates, specially when it comes from your parents. And trust me, we too had no idea about her life style."

Krish looks at his sister with his friends when Kavya asks frowning, "Who is this 'we'?"

"All of us." Varun says coming forward turning all eyes to him.

"Means, none of you knew?" Sumit asks surprisedly.

"'No one' means, no kids of our families knew. Means, not even Vihaan Bhaiya, Tej Bhaiya, Kirti Bhabhi, your cousins, my brother, our family friends. No one." Arika informs the new faces who look at each other with speechless eyes.

"They hid about her existence from all?" Kavya asks with shocked eyes.

Arika shakes her head and says, "Not about her existence but her lifestyle. They lied and as a result-"

"we misunderstood her pretty badly." Nikita murmurs cutting off Arika but they hear it. Her tone was enough to hint that it was a mess. Krish's heart thuds inside his chest. His gaze falls to the grass like his silence.

Silence.

"How did you all react?" Ayaan asks coming out of his reverie.

Arika chuckles bitterly, "Worst than you all. None of us talked to our elders for weeks. It was . . . . .just too unbelievable and overwhelming. . ."

Krish takes a sharp breath in while licking his lips comfortlessly and puts his hands on either sides of his waist. Kavya sighs. She never saw her brother like this. It's all overwhelming for her too.

"What kind of lies?" Krish asks looking back at Nikita with a disturbed feeling.

"Will tell you some other day. For now, concentrate on your studies. You guys just came. And it's already a lot for today." Nikita says softly.

"Why not now?" Krish presses with a slight frown.

"Because your Big sister is telling that's why." Nikita says a little proudly. Arika, Varun, Advik look at each other, Rishi, Shivika, Nia and Akriti who have been listening quietly till now, look at each other.

"Big sister? Are not you the Princess of the family?" Krish asks with a hint of tease in his tone. Kavya and Sumit share a knowing glance while Ayaan bites his smile.

Nikita narrows her eyes at the youngest present there and says, "I'm still an elder to you."

"Sure." Krish says chuckling. Nikita rolls her eyes while their friends chuckle at their conversation.
