Chapter 1: Plans Reed's POV
Damn. It was too early in the morning for a Monday. The sun had just rose and light streaks of pink, purple, blue, and orange cascaded across the morning sky.
I made my way over to the group with my books in my right and an apple in my left. The group usually met at a picnic bench under a shady tree; the perfect place for a nap.
"Tomatoes are totally a vegetable!" yelled Lucy. The group seemed to be in another morningly discussion. Typical.
"No, they're not Lucy," replied Justin while rolling his eyes. We had gotton used to Lucy's dumbness and rants, but they still drove us wild.
I walked up to my friend Matt as he sat reading a book. I slamed my hand on the table, getting his attention. He shook a little, but smirked when he saw it was me.
"I see Lucy's having her daily discussion with the group," I said to him.
"Yeah. This time it's about tomatoes," he rolls his eyes. Matt was a cool guy. He wasn't really into sports like most of us, but he was awesome at art and the occasional beat boxing. He had short, spiked brown hair and brown eyes hidden behind glasses. You'd say he's a dork, but he's just the opposite. Just...different. .
I rolled my eyes with him. "She's as dumb as a tomato."
A few agrees went around the table. I hadn't noticed most of the group had showed up and were actually listening. Except Bryan and Avery.
"It has seeds so that makes it a vegetable!" yelled the screaming banshee of terror. Lucy.
"Lucy!" I yelled to get her attention. "Shut up!" She frowns and then scowls at me. Spoiled Brat.
"Now where's my man Bryan?" I asked everyone. They always showed up around 7:10 and it was now 10 minutes passed that.
"Oh, well you know Bryan. Always has to get his annual stash as soon as he runs out," Ross answered.
Bryan was a pot head. Well more so a weed head, but that just sounds weird. When he didn't have a game coming up he would always get the "bundle package" which just means he spokes more and buys more.
I wasn't a big fan of drugs and alcohol. Of course it's fun at parties and hangouts. Well drinking, not so much drugging it out.
Whenever I was at a party, I just had a few cups and that was it. I didn't get drunk. The idea of spending my night by the toilet and feeling like shit in the morning instead of sleeping in my cozy bed and feeling great in the morning, didn't really appeal to me.
We were all cool with Bryan smoking. We just got used to it. Beside Avery. As long as he doesn't hurt anyone and his lovely weed heads don't come near us, we're good!
I didn't like Avery being around him when he was using or supplying and she didn't like it either.
"Is Avery with him?" I asked concerned.
"I'm right here!" her voice piped through the air. "Sorry, slept in a little."
She makes her way to her friends Sandy, Silvia, and Mayberry.
She looks up and smiles at me. I wink at her. She's so beautiful. Long curly blond hair with blue sparkling eyes. She was taller than all the girls in the group. All the more eye catching.
She had the perfect body. Full round breasts and what us guys like to call, bubble butt ass. She was the perfect girl for everyone and that's what made me mad.
