When I was on my way to the store, my phone rang like crazy.
"Hello?"
"Please...help...me.!" it was silent for a while. Then, the voice came back to the phone.
"118 W. 2nd Blvd.! Come over now!"
"Why?"
"I need help escaping." Escaping from what? I kept thinking and thinking about what the voice meant. Then it hit me, it was the voice of someone I knew.
"Sis, help me. I've been kidnapped!" What?! It's my sister! My and only sister! Why does it have to be my sister?
"Hold on, I'm on my way!" Then, I dialed 911.
"911, what's your emergency?" I heard the lady, but I didn't answer. Instead, I fainted.
"Mam, Mam?" When I woke up, I was in a hospital room.
"Eek!" I had to scream. Something inside of me told me to scream. I turned the T.V. on when I screamed again. The nurse came in and asked me how I am doing.
"I feel awkward, how did I get here?"
"You fainted when you called us. You never told us why you fainted, or why you called us." I thought of that for a long time. Then, it hit me again.
"I was on my way to work, when my phone rang and some weird voice said that she needed help." I had to pause to remember that it was my sister. Then the nurse spoke.
"Did she say where she was at that point in time?" Without any hesitation, I spoke again.
"118 W. 2nd Street"
"Do you know what town she was in?"
"Duh, in this town!"
"Did you know who she was?"
"YES." I said that in a weird way. After the nurse checked my pulse, breathing, and my head, she told me to go to the cafeteria to get some food. I saw a lot of faces in there. Some of them I knew. Some of them, I didn't. I went to go sit next to a lady who looked like she was in her early 30's.
"Hi, I'm Nimh. Is this seat taken?" The woman looked at me with shock.
"It is yours now. Sit, you must be starving for being here in the hospital for as long as you have been." I look at her with a confused look in my eyes. "What do you mean, I've only been here for 20 minutes, maybe not even that!"
"No, you've been here for 3 years!"
"How?"
"You don't remember what happened, did you? You got hit by a car, and you have been here in this hospital ever since"
