Blackness began to fade as Jimin's eyes parted to reveal a hospital. The bright lights and grey walls shone in his eyes painfully as he rubbed them to ease the pain caused by the sudden light. Soon enough they had adjusted and he ran his pale hands through his silky black hair that lay messily in his face. A yawn escaped his lips as he began to sit up from his  blue bedsheets. The blanket slowly slid down from his knees. The window was open, he knew as a gush of wind blew through and gracefully waved the silk curtains beside him on the right.

He looked to the left on his bedside table to look at his clock, where it had been for the last 3 years. Nothing had changed, his day would be like every other day, just as it had been. Secretly, Jimin just longed for change. And yet it never came. But he was past that, mostly. He had given up on that. In some ways he did like the familiarity of the hospital, it almost comforted him. Knowing that he would have no bad surprises. But of course that came with it's downsides.  Something today was different. There was something unfamiliar on his table. The dark-haired boy reached down slowly to investigate it. Feeling the soft paper and reading who it was addressed to.

It must be a mistake right? No-one would be contacting him. No-one ever did. He lost all contact with the boys a year or so ago so it couldn't be any of them, and his mother would just text him if she was going on another business trip.

But as he looked properly, he saw that it was indeed addressed to him, Park Jimin.

Enthusiastically, he ripped it open like a little kid at Christmas. He hadn't been this excited in months, maybe even a year. As he did so he felt something drop down onto his hospital gown, he picked it up from the diamond patterned gown and brought it closer to him, that was when he realized who this person was. It was pretty obvious. It was a polaroid photo for god's sake, there's no-one else that this could be from. In the photo was a selfie of Jimin and Jin. His long time friend, the one who brought them all together and in turn was the trigger of them all falling apart. Not that Jimin had any harsh feeling towards him, It wasn't Jin's fault that he had to leave, but what was in the past was done.

Jimin felt a smile creep upon his face, he remembered that day. That was the day that he first actually performed in public. He was so nervous to do so but luckily he had Hobi there with him who had street danced for years before and was super supportive.

Then he moved his focus to the letter that was resting on his knee currently. He replaced the letter with the photo and carefully began to unfold it. But suddenly he stopped before it was fully open and closed it again. Suddenly he felt like something had slapped him in the face. What if this was bad news? He couldn't believe that Jin would just randomly contact him. He just couldn't believe it. And he didn't think that he could handle bad news either. He mentally prepared himself for a few seconds, took a deep breath and whispered:

"No matter what happens, good or bad. . . I'm ready."

He opened it and scanned through the letter. Luckily for him, he had always been a quick reader and easily read through it, and again, and again.

Jin wanted to reconnect. He wanted to see him. He wanted to be there for him and make up for the past couple years that he couldn't have been there. Happiness hit Jimin like a bullet in the back. He was speechless. He knew that today would be different. Today he would write a letter back to Jin and ask the staff to send it back to him. Then everything may be like it was again. Maybe then he could get his life back.

After eating breakfast as quickly as possible, which consisted of a jam croissant and an apple, he quickly visited some of the younger patients that he had grown attached to. To him, the little children in the hospital were like younger siblings. The were very special to him in that sense and he made sure that they knew that. When all the staff were busy,  he was always there to lend a helping hand and would often play with them and made sure that they had as much fun as they could in the hospital. It reminded him of when he was a child in the hospital. When he first had the accident and was in the hospital for his seizures. he had no-one. He was just alone. And he was miserable. He just doesn't want them to have the same experience.

"Hey Jimin! Look what I got! My mother just bought me this new doll! Look isn't she pretty!"  One of the little girls in the kid's room exclaimed, throwing the her hands with the doll in the air to show him.

Jimin crouched down to her height and took a closer look, trying to look as interested as possible.

"That's so cool Ji-Ah! What's the dolls name?"  He asked enthusiastically.

"Her name is Soo-Ah and she has a bunch of other dresses as well! Would you like to see?" Ji-Ah asked excitedly.

"I'm sorry Ji-Ah but I have something very important I need to do today. I was just stopping by to say good morning." Jimin frowned. Hoping that she wouldn't be to disappointed.

When he saw her pouting face he quickly added to that statement.

"But I will defiantly have some time later, if you want you can show me then?"

The little girls face quickly lit up again and she nodded very quickly. Jimin said hello to the others and then goodbye relatively quickly before leaving to go back to his room and begin writing his reply.

He had been thinking all morning about what he could write back to his Hyung. He didn't want to sound to excited or happy, after everything that had happened who knows what everyone was like. All he could hope was that he would be the Jin that he remembered. The eldest hyung who everyone knew that they could count on. Kim Seokjin.

After a couple hours or so of trying to write the perfect message, and a bin full of paper, he had finally finished in time for lunch when everyone would be out again. He would be able to go see Ji-Ah again and see what she wanted to show him. But first he needed to get this letter to reception.

"Hello Miss Min, how have you been?" Jimin asked as he walked up to the front desk with his letter.

"I've been alright thank you Jimin, to what do I own the pleasure of a visit from you?" She replied, Miss Min was one of Jimin's favourite staff  in the hospital. She was quite young and empathetic making her easy to talk to.

"Well Miss, You may not believe it but I actually got a letter from an old friend who wanted to meet up again, he had to leave for America because of his father a couple years back and now he is in Korea again. So he wanted to see me again. So, I have written something back for him to arrange a meeting." Jimin explained, handing her the paper as she quickly scanned through it.

"Well that is exciting isn't it, I'll make sure that this reaches him."

"Thank you very much Miss, have a great day and say hi to Sun-Hee for me please." Jimin asked as he walked back to the door.

"Of course, goodbye Jimin!"

This was it, he was finally going to see Seokjin again, and who knows. He might see the others as well someday soon.
