i woke up to the sound of my alarm, today is the
day Camilo get his gift the Madrigals gift ceremony
was always the best in the town.
I got up and put my dress on that my mother made
me, i went downstairs to my dad making breakfast i
sat down "smells nice" he looked at me and
smiled.... wait i forgot to introduce myself my name
is y/n and i am apart of a music family, my dad
makes instruments for a living and sells them, my
mom makes dresses and i take care of my sister on
days that they ain't home, her name is Hope and i
love her.
i quickly ate breakfast "why are you in such a
hurry" my dad asked, "oh sorry dad i just can't wait
for tonight, i wonder what his gift will be" he
smiled "maybe you two will be best buds" i laughed
"dad he's a madrigal, he ain't gonna be friends with
me" he made that look when he wants to say
something but he was keeping his mouth shut.
time passed and it was time to go to the ceremony i
was so excited i went upstairs and put Hope in a
nice outfit and made sure she was ready, i walked
outside with Hope in my arms she was just a baby
so she wasn't old enough to walk and i was only 5
but i could carry her i was a big girl, we got on the
back of a donkey and made our way to the Casita.
When we got there we saw Luisa and her super
strength working hard, i waved at her she looked at
me and waved back i was so happy when it was
almost time i made sure i got to see Camilo then
Abuela was talking then she walked up to the door
waiting for him to go but he wouldn't go up the
casita pushed him but he didn't go i gave Hope to
dad and walked over there he looked at me
confused.
"hey Camilo, cmon let's go see what your gift is" he
looked at me then grabbed my hand as i was
walking forward he said to me "Camilo and you?"
smiled "I'm y/n nice to meet you Camilo" as we
were walking up his family smiled at me, Pepe his
mother hugged me and held me so he can get his
gift then he touched the candle and got his gift, i
cheered for him he turned to me before i knew it he
was hugging me i smiled.
