Harry Potter One-Shot

Part one

Harry Potter had been wandering around the castle grounds of Hogwarts as his friends had abandoned him when his name came out of the goblet of fire he meet a member of a rival quidditch team his name was Cedric Diggory they had bumped into each other literally and started to talk about quidditch and the triwizard tournament The first task had happened about two weeks ago "Have you figured out the egg yet?"

Harry asked Cedric "Yes, and thank you for the heads up about the dragons Harry"

Cedric said as he flashed a smile "It was no problem the others knew too so it would be unfair if you were the only one that didn't know."

Harry answered "Well I had to get it off my trust because without that heads up I would have been dragging food, i've been waitingi a long time to tell you this but if you take a bath with the egg it will reveal the clue to the next task, what's the passcode to the prefects bathroom is Evergreen"

Cedric said as he whispered the last bit.

Later that night Harry snuck into the prefect's bathroom at midnight. "What's the password?"

Asked the Portrait, Harry replied with "Evergreen"

The portrait swung open to reveal a beautiful bathroom with a bath the size of a pool. He undressed and slowly entered the bath. It was the perfect temperature as always thanks to magic. He slowly Emerged the egg on the water and it sang a song "We cannot sing above the ground, An hour you'll have to look, To recover what we took. at Leat what you have stays here to rot"

Harry rose out of the water to get some air, then dunked his head on the egg under again. Repeat it this till he had memorized the song. With that he sat and relax and tried to decipher the message. 'We cannot sing above ground' he thought for a minute 'the black lake' 'An hour you'll have to look' and the final part of the clue 'To recover what we took. Lest what you seek stays here to rot' 'so they took something of mine and I have an hour to look for it in the black lack'. This whole thought process took 20 minutes. He got out of the bath and grab a towel and wrap it around his waist. He got dressed in his night clothes and left, headed to Gryffindor tower and went to sleep.

The next day before breakfast Harry ran into Cedric and thanked him for the advice, Cedric had told Harry that it was no problem and they headed two breakfast together but separated as they entered the great hall to go to their house tables.
