The forest was usually quiet at this time of night, but tonight was particularly different. The splashing of large raindrops hitting the trees, the buzzing of crickets and night-dwellers, and the clopping of horseshoes down the mud-covered path.

Upon that horse sat the Hero of Time, as he returned from the Kingdom of Hyrule after a long, discouraging day. His eyes, blue as the water that ran through the streams, looked off into the dark abyss, leading his horse in the same direction.  The hero felt slightly at ease knowing there was nothing to disturb him or his steed on their way home. That was until two small, glowing dots ascended from the dark void that lay ahead. And they were charging straight for him.
