Lucy's POV
I wanted to get started on the cleansing right away but first there was something that I needed to do.
"Doranbolt, how long do you think it will be until Lahar gets here with the rescue party?" I enquired.
"Well they were grabbed around the same time I got you out, so a few minutes," Doranbolt answered.
"In that case I will need a bowl of water, also I am going to wait until they arrive so that I can purify the keys. When I start I am going to let off high levels of magic power so I need you to use lacrima to stop it from gaining attention" I said.
"We already figured you might need lacrima so Lahar has some with him" Dorenbolt said. With that handled I took my keys off the holder and looked at each of them gently stroking them. Each of them glowed for a second as if they were telling me that they were all right and that I shouldn't worry about them. Distantly I could feel a rise in magic power and I knew that it was the Grand Magic Games that were underway. Clenching my eyes shut I bit down on my cheek, I wanted to be there, I wanted to help my guild ruse to its former glory and more importantly I wanted to watch as everyone who dared to look down on Fairy tail were proven wrong and shown how powerful we were."Let us go, we have to save Lucy!" I heard yelled, and I looked up as the door opened. Lahar walked in behind Mira-Jane, Wendy, Natsu, Happy, Carla and Lily.
"Save me from what? I thought I gave you a letter telling you not to try and rescue me?" I questioned while looking at them.
"We couldn't just sit back and wait for them to maybe let you go," Mira said.
"Honestly I don't have time to deal with that right now I have bigger things to do and not a lot of time. I already had plans with Lahar and Doranbolt to get me out of prison. Unfortunately it was a little too late so now I have to deal with the fallout" I sighed as I put my hands out and Lahar placed four lacrima in my hands.
"Lucy, are you sure about this?" Lahar asked and I nodded.
"I know helping me is going against your code and I am sorry for asking you to break the law for me but-" I said but Lahar held up his hand to stop me.
"I will admit that breaking the law is against my code and it makes me uncomfortable but I owe you one and I don't like feeling indebted to anyone" Lahar said and I frowned.
"Owed me one? If you are talking about taking care of Jellal, Meredy, Ultear, Angel, Midnight, Cobra, Richard and Racer you guys already paid me for it and I chose to take care of them" I said not sure what he was talking about.
"That is not the debt that we owe you.... We owe you from Tenrou Island seven years ago," Lahar said.
"We will never forget what we did that day nor what it cost you, Lucy" Dorenbolt said and everyone went silent.
"....I never blamed you guys, well not intentionally. I think over the seven years that everyone was gone I blamed everyone including myself and even the celestial king. Then I realised that it would have happened no matter what we did. There was no way we could stand up to someone like Acnologia at the time so I made a vow to myself. Next time I would protect my friends, my family and everyone else that needed help so that is what I am going to do" I said as I sat on the floor putting a lacrima around me on the floor on each point of the compass and then sat a dish of water in front of me.
"I need absolute silence while I do this, if you dare to interrupt me, I will never forgive you" I glared at them and they all gulped and nodded.
"I think we will wait in the next room" Doranbolt decided and everyone agreed. With everyone leaving the room I grabbed Loke's key out first and gently placed it in the bowl of water, placing my hands in it afterwards. Closing my eyes I focused on pouring my magic into the water and in turn Loke's key. When I opened my eyes I saw that I was in a different place or at least that was what it looked like. In fact I hadn't done anywhere but my spirit was now in a pocket of space along with another spirit.
"Loke, come out before I decide to make you" I called out and Loke came out, except he wasn't the same. He had long orange hair, wasn't wearing his glasses and was wearing golden armour.
"You would dare to threaten me, human" Loke sneered and I just looked at him before taking a few steps towards him. Without saying or giving anything away I punched Loke in the stomach cracking his armour and making him give a cry of pain.
"I may be a human but I am also your friend so don't you dare look at me like that. We have met before and I am sure that you remember how that ended. On that day we made a pact and I am here to honour that pact. Do you remember?" I asked as I pulled him down and put my forehead on his.
"I promised you that we would always be friends and that I would never let humans taint you. If they ever tainted you I would come and fix it myself" I said and his eyes widened.
"Is that what this is? This anger that I feel in my chest is because I have been tainted" Loke growled placing a hand on his chest.
"Yes and I am going to make sure that it goes away" I smiled as I wrapped my arms around him and poured my magic into him.
"It's not going to hurt anymore and it's not going to make you angry anymore" I said and Loke slumped against me as he fell asleep.
"One day soon I believe I will be calling on your power so stay strong and rest" I whispered as I gently laid him down.
