At the end of the school day they all pile into Harpers car. Her in the drivers seat, Eli in the front passenger and Demetri and Miguel in the back.
Demetri was the first to notice that Eli was looking at his phone but had his hand on Harpers thigh, demetri tapped Miguel who tapped Harper who looked down and smiled. She looked back on the road and came to a stop at the red light putting her sun glasses on and sticking her left arm out the window the other resting on the top of the wheel. She looked to her left seeing a group of all men staring at her and she was listening to her original songs on the radio. She winked at the men before flooring the gas petal. She had left the men in the dust doing nothing but looking back in her rear view mirror and flicking them off.
She was the youngest but the only one who had a car and license so she had to drive everywhere.
She drove to her and Miguel's apartment complex and they all pile out with their book bags and overnight bags.
She knew her dad wasn't going to be home that night, so she told her friends he works the night shift as a security guard at the prison and that she asked already and he said yeah. She unlocked her front door and they all walked back to her room.
