Eclipse P.O.V.
Borealis Cafe! The main place one could find our group. Not that we were easy to keep track off anyways. Relaxing in a chair I prop a heel on the seat edge and lean an arm on my knee. Siege's wings twitched when he sat down. I think the cafe ceiling was to low of him. My other brother couldn't care less. And if he did he wasn't the type to complain. Solar sat down and pulled out his datapad, humming to himself. Crazy book bot. Aced all his classes, mostly, there were some b's, was a wiz in history and PE class. PE class was easy for him. Solar is a nimble, agile little runt. Flare grabbed his shoulders making the poor guy jump. The red seeker laughed hysterically while Solar glared at him.
"Real mature Flare. You're a comedy genius." I chuckle, shoulder pads bouncing.
"Aw! Thanks for noticing!!" My older trin flashes a smile.
"We noticed all right... your awful timing..." Solar grumbled.
Flare glared at him while Siege snorted at our antics.
"Thought I'd find everyone here! What's Solar sucked into this time?" Our fifth and final member finally joined us.
Wavelength, the only child of Ultra Magness.
"A published diary of a soldier during the Great Cybertronian War." Siege shrugged.
"Ah. And Flare? What's he planning?" Wavelength tilted his helm.
"We've stopped asking. Probably something with sire later though." I shrug taking a sip of my cold drink.
Wavelength shrugged and sat down, backpack flopping next to the rest of the pile.
"So where were you?" Solar looked up from his data pad.
"Detention." The purple mech groaned.
"Again?" Flare finally sat down.
"That's what I said! Yeah, one of the teachers caught me outside during class time." Wavelength huffed.
"I thought you had permission?" I look over confused.
"This time yes!! I tried telling her that but noooo. I'm not a reliable source!" Our group's "leader" threw his servos in the air.
Him and Solar tend to lead side by side.
"Well, for the teachers you're not." Siege grins playfully.
The tallest out of all of us shot him a heat-less glare. My oldest trin sighed rolling his optics.
"Ok so now that everyone is here what's the afternoon plan?" I look around the table.
"I've got that one show saved back home. We could stream that." Solar offered, still nose-deep in his datapad.
"That's boring. We did that a few days ago!" Flare whined.
"We could go to our house?" Siege shrugged.
Wavelength shrugged to my left. "Fine by me. But carrier needed me to pick something up from the local library later this evening."
"Can't Ultra Magness do it himself? You're always running his to-do list." Flare wrinkled his nose annoyed.
"I'd rather that than him lash into me about whatever he thinks I did wrong." Wavelength's shoulders hung slightly.
Ultra Magness might have been... a respectable war general- to others at least- but he's an awful carrier. Wavelength wasn't allowed to have his own opinion if it contradicted Magness's own. The table fell silent for a moment. Magness wasn't a kind mech. Not to those he deemed "reckless" or "careless." And half the time it's just people having fun and enjoying themselves.
"It's Uncle Thundercracker's turn to cook dinner." Flare piped, pulling everyone out of the awkward moment.
"He is?! I love his cooking!" Solar looked up.
I chuckle and take another sip of my drink.
"So is food really the only thing that'll get you out of that datapad?" I tease poking his stabilizer under the table.
"No! Not always." The light-colored mech huffed.
"No, I think she's right. I'm pretty sure your processor and tanks are the same thing." Wavelength chuckled.
"Har har. Brilliant joke." Solar rolled his optics.
"Thanks!" The mech grinned.
Siege kicked them from under the table, causing our drinks to shake.
"Hey!" "Hey!"
"You both have dry humor." The seeker smirked.
"Drier than your rock collection?" Solar snipped back.
Flare and I choked on our energon. Bold mech. Siege opened and closed his mouth like an Earth fish.
"Well played Solar." My brother surrendered with a playful sigh.
Solar puffed out his chassis slightly looking proud of himself. Poor mech. He couldn't genuinely insult someone even if he wanted to. Wavelength stood up and stretched, his impressive height easily topping someone like my brothers. Be it he was only a helm taller. The rest of us followed suit and returned our glasses before leaving the cafe.
"I'll race you to the next stop light!!" Flare pushed Wavelength aside tearing off.
"Next stop light? My daily routine is the next thirty!" Wavelength bolted off after my brother.
By Primus. They weren't going to make it to the twelfth stoplight. Not with these crowded streets. Solar quickly stuffed his beloved datapad into his subspace and ran after them.
"Fly after them?" Siege looked down at me.
"Yep. There's no way we'll catch them in this crowd." I nudge him and find a space to transform.
