"Tim? Can you feed her?"
I got up off the lounge and jogged into the make-shift nursery I had set up in the dining room corner. I grabbed a bottle from the fridge - Bella only drunk from a bottle - and crouched beside the low cot.
She looked up at me with gorgeous blue eyes, her little hands reaching out for me. I smiled widely, receiving a toothless one from her in return, and gently bent down to pick her up. She snuggled against my chest, her tiny fat fingers gripping my collar.
She was beautiful.
