For the work of a Harbinger

VII. Shopping time!

    Childe was reading the list again. "Flowers, flowers. No- I should start with.." he sighed, "I don't know.. There's… too much and.. Most of them probably won't even be available in the shops." he said walking into the Souvenir shop, looking at the stock. "Can I help you with something?" Childe nodded, showing the shopkeeper the list. "Well.. We do have some of these goods in our stock but, I am not sure about the other ones. I never heard of them before or saw them on this marketplace."

   "That's okay.. Can I get those you have?" the lady smiled, giving him some of the things. Childe paid and left the shop, again walking in the full streets of business. "Dragonfall..- where can I.." he was thinking, while looking around, spotting merchants with jades and ores.

    He came closer to one merchant, asking, "You don't happen to have Dragonfall? I really need it." The merchant looked up at Childe completely confused, "Dragonfall? I never heard of that jade or ore before." Childe sighed, "Maybe you can try asking someone else, I know about one older merchant who may know about 'Dragonfall', but he lives very far from the city."

    "That's okay." he said, "Where does he live?" Merchant spoke up, showing the way, "You will need to leave Liyue Harbor and get to Qingce Village. Then, you should ask the locals." Childe smiled widely, "Thank you so much." and walked off.

    He was walking through the last bridge that connected Liyue Harbor with the world. Something barked.

    "What are you doing here?" Childe said looking at one small puppy waiting near an empty bowl. "Where's your owner?" The dog barked, looking with its big puppy eyes on Childe. "You're hungry I guess.." he smiled, kneeling down, putting one piece of meat into his bowl, "Here… have this, I don't have time to cook it anyway.. And you look like you need it more than me." The puppy immediately started eating meat from the bowl, waving with its tail happily.

    "Ah.. I see you found a new friend." Childe twitched, turning around, looking straight into Zhongli's eyes. "Zhongli… You scared me-'' Zhongli smiled and kneeled down, saying, "Kuai is a picky eater..." The puppy, by the name of Kuai, waved his tail, jumping on Zhongli.

"What do you mean by that?" Childe said, trying to pat Kuai, "He won't eat anything from most of the people in Liyue. There are only a few people who are Kuai's friends." he smiled, "Looks like you are one of them."

    "Me…" Childe was looking at Kuai and smiled, "Yes, you. I will go now, if you will excuse me." Kuai got off Zhongli and he stood up, "Still.. Have some work on my back. It was good to meet you before meeting on the terrace." he laughed, walking away.

"Kuai?" the puppy looked at Childe, confused, "So Kuai is your name after all.. I thought he was joking.." he sat down, looking sadly at him..

     "Don't you know.. Where can I find Dragonfall?" Kuai waved his tail even more, looking at him happily. "I see… you have no idea what I am talking about… I should've asked Zhongli before he walked off…" he said, standing up, "But hey- We're learning from our own mistakes after all.. Have a good day Kuai!" The puppy barked and lay down, watching Childe disappear.
