1 month later-
"YOU WHAT?!" Jungkook shouted at his dad. He chuckled nervously, "Kook, I have to move on at some point." Jungkook's eyes filled with angry tears, "Her and her son are coming for dinner tonight, be on your best-" Jungkook's dad's words were cut short as he slammed his bedroom door. He threw himself onto his bed, "How can he move on so fast? Mom died only 4 months ago?!" He yelled into his pillow. He continued to angrily cry as he jumped up and opened his window. He grabbed his cellphone and put it in his pocket before hopping up onto the window seal. He stepped outside his window, a small design in his dad's house that made him happy. A small porch underneath his bedroom window covered by the roof. He adjusted himself on his mom's yoga mat that sat under him, the box of his mom's memorabilia tucked behind his guitar inside on the window seat. He sighed, looking at the rain falling around him as he sat safely, tucked under the roof as if under a mother bird's wing. His phone vibrated in his pocket, itching for him to pull it out, a message from his best friend popping up.
Jungkook's tears began falling faster. His sworn enemy from school isn't only friends with his friends, his crush, but now he's moving into his family? "IS HE TRYING TO RUIN MY LIFE?" Jungkook shouted as he closed his hands over his eyes. "FUCK ME!" He screamed. "YA! Stop swearing and get ready for dinner." His father yelled from the hallways outside his bedroom. Jungkook growled before putting his phone into his pocket, turning around on his knees and pulling out the box of memorabilia. He slowly cupped his hands around a small clear urn. He leaned forward and whispered, "I miss you mom." He placed a soft kiss on the lid, the twinkling preserved cherry blossom on top of the ashes catching his eye.
"I'll see you tomorrow mom." He smiled and wiped his tears before placing the urn back into his memorabilia box and climbing back into his room. He proceeded to get his clothes ready so after dinner he could shower and go straight to bed. He left his room and made his way down the stairs and into the dining room. He froze as he saw the woman and her son at his dining table. The woman sitting at the head of the table where his mother would be sitting. He crumbled the side of his t-shirt and tried to ignore it, sitting across the table from the kid. Jungkook looked up and Namjoon looked back, obviously shocked to be in this situation, especially seeing Jungkook so agitated. "Lina, this is my son. Jungkook. Jungkook, this is Lina. My significant other." Jungkook bowed to the woman before picking up his spoon. "Jungkook this is Namjoon-" Namjoon interrupted his mom, slight agitation in his voice, "We already know each other mom." Namjoon said, leaning back in his chair, "Why did I have to come anyway?" He crossed his arms and stared at Jungkook.
Jungkook dropped his spoon, "Look, Kim." Jungkook said, resting his elbow on the table, "I don't care that our parents are dating, You make my life hell as it is. I'm not dealing with it at MY home with your mom in MY mom's chair." Jungkook stood up, overwhelmed by the whole situation. He wiped the angry tears that fell from his eyes, his full bowl of food becoming cold on the table. "Jungkook, get back here." His father said, standing. Jungkook ignored him, tears flowing down his face as he ran outside. "JUNGKOOK!" His father yelled, running to the open back door and peering into the rain. Namjoon turned in his chair, a shocked and worried look on his face. "I- I'll go after him." He said, jumping up and grabbing his jacket. "Here, take this." Jungkook's dad held out an umbrella, a defeated look on his face.
