I never thought I would see someone die in front of me in my life.  But unfortunately in this sick, twisted world, I was proven wrong. The principal of our school, the leader of us students. Was nothing but a lifeless corpse with a bullet in the center of his head.

My eyes rejected the horrific sight I saw. Tears began to pour out my eyes. My body trembled in fear. It took every ounce of willpower I had to reject the urge to puke. Ava wasn't much better either in fact her entire body was shaking. Her small hands covered her mouth rejecting the scream rising in her throat.
I didn't know what to say or think. How could someone do something like this?  All because of this fucking pill!

Then I heard something that made my rapidly beating heart stop.
"Let's check his room and see if it's there"  The man who shot the principal said. He seemed like the leader of the group
Me and Ava looked at each other in shock. We silently communicated that we need to hide and fast.
Without a lot of time to think, we decided to hide in the closet behind the desk. We stepped into the dark space and I held my breath. With a silent prayer, I prayed to the man upstairs that I would live to see another day.

The men twisted the metal knob and opened the door swiftly, as if they didn't want to make any noise. But I think it's to late for that now. They enter the room, closing the door behind them and begin to look for something, guessing it's the pill they were talking about earlier. The tension so thick and quiet you can hear a raindrop dropping on the ground.  I turned towards Ava, the darkness covering her petrified face. Our chances of making it out of here are pretty slim to none. I didn't want to say it because that will only freak her out. But it's the truth. I don't wanna die. I don't want this to be my last day on Earth.

I felt warmth cover my body. Ava wrapped her trembling arms around me for a hug. If I wasn't in a life threatening situation right now, this would've been the happiest moment of my life.

However the happy moment was cut short. The closet door opened revealing the men, looking directly at two teenage kids hugging in a closest.
A second of what felt like an eternity of silence passed by. Then one of the men spoke "Damn, our job just got a lot more difficult" The leader sighed "Grab them"
Me and Ava stood paralyzed. Two of the men grabbed us and despite our desperate struggles of clawing and kicking. We we're powerless to do anything. They threw both of us on the ground faced down and stepped on our backs. I winced at the pain while Ava let out a scream.

"Put some cloth in the girl's mouth, she's too loud" The leader said
Ava screamed help but to no avail as all the teachers and students left hours ago. The man stepping on her back, reached into his pocket to pull out a white cloth. He begin to wrap the cloth around her mouth, when she bit his fingers. The man let out a growl. He kicked Ava's ribs out of anger.

Ava let out another scream.  "STOP LEAVE HER ALONE, WE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO YOU." I screamed

They were going way to far. We are kids! We didn't do anything. Why are these people doing this. I just want to go home. I just want this nightmare to be over.

The men finally was able to get the cloth around our mouths.
The leader stepped forward in front of us so that our attention was placed on him.

"That's the sad part about this kid" He said sadly

"You both had nothing to do with this situation. However you two just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Our work is very private, we can't have any witnesses and if we do....we'll we have to kill them. No matter who it is, even..." The leader squatted down to our faces and with the coldest tone "Children" He finished
