Sighing and running a hand down his weary, exhausted face, Captain David Allen of the Detroit PD SWAT team, finally feels like he is able to shut down his terminal. His beautiful green eyes glance at the time in the bottom right of the screen, 12:32am glaring back at him. He takes one final look at the report he just filed on the hostage case he returned from two and a half hours ago before saving it and submitting it. He leans back in his chair and rubs his eyes and thinks back on the events that occurred.

He turns his head to the right to look out of the glass walls into the SWAT bullpen, the last officer, Sean Frankie, packing up to head home, having stayed late as well. He looks back at his screen and presses on the screen a few times, shutting down the terminal and pushing his chair back. He stands slowly and stretches his back and neck before grabbing his bag and keys. He slings his bag strap over his shoulder and walks towards the door, turning off the light as he opens it. He walks through and locks up the door before walking down the stairs and heading towards the elevators.

The remaining officer meets him there, "Finally got that report finished, Captain?"

David looks over at him with a stoic, but tired face, nodding with a sigh. "Yeah, Frankie, finally. This has felt like one of the longest days ever."

He nods in agreement and as the elevator arrives, he gestures the captain to enter first, following behind and pressing the "Ground Floor" button. He backs up against the elevator wall and crosses his arms across his chest. "What are your plans when you get home?"

David looks down at the floor, crossing his arms as well, "Gonna get a hot shower, probably microwave some leftovers, then get into bed with my beautiful girlfriend."

He smirks and looks over at David, "When are you and Alyanna gonna get married already? You two have been together for, what, 70 years?"

David gives him a side eyed glare, "It has not been 70 years, Frankie. Just waiting for the right moment."

Frankie chuckles, "Well hopefully it's soon, I feel she's the one for you. I can tell she makes you happy."

David looks up at the doors as the elevator reaches the ground floor, a small smile on his face, hidden from Frankie. "Yeah...yeah she does."

They both step out of the elevator and walk towards the exit of the precinct. They pause once they get outside, feeling the suffocation of the building ever so slowly fade away.

After a moment, Frankie turns towards David, "Well you get home safely, Captain." He starts walking towards his car, waving at David. "Say hi to your wife for me!"

David gives him a deadpanned look, "She's not my wife, Frankie."

"Then hurry up!!" He calls back to him, laughing before turning back around and continuing his walk.

David once again rubs his weary face, sighing and walks to his own car. "This night just can't end soon enough."

David drives home and parks in the driveway next to his girlfriend's car. He puts the car in park and turns it off, taking a second to run his hands through his short, dark brown hair before unbuckling the seat belt and opens the door, grabbing his bag, keys, and wallet before stepping out. He closes the door and walks slowly towards the front door, rubbing his hands together to keep them warm. He unlocks the door and slowly opens it, stepping inside and closing it quietly behind him. He shivers lightly, grateful for the heat being on. He places his keys on the hook by the door and his wallet and badge on the nearby table.

He turns to face the living room and sees Alyanna curled up on the couch asleep, her long, blonde hair illuminated by the moonlight streaming through the window as the shorter strands fall loosely over her face. She was wearing her dark blue sleep shorts and black camisole, one of David's favourite outfits to see her in. He walks over to her and leans down, kissing her forehead and caresses her cheek with the back of his hand.
