There once lived a young girl, she was very happy she lived with her mother her father and her two brothers, Kieran and Kora. Kieran was older than her by two years, and Kora was younger than her by three.
It was her fifth birthday when things started to go downhill, her parents became sick and her mother became very ill, each day her mother would become worse, Her father not to far behind. Then came christmas eve, the last Christmas she spent happily with her family.

"Mummy! Mummy mummy!! Look at the Christmas tree isn't it pretty?" The young (h/c) haired girl asked her mother, whom was laying on the couch her face pale and all skin and bone.
"It's, very pretty sweety" She said in between coughs. The fragile woman smiled softly at all three of her children coughing again, she knew that this would be the last Christmas she spent with her beautiful family, but being the kind hearted woman she was, and the loving one, she didn't tell her family not even her husband.
"Hey mum, here you open a gift, like always, we open one gift on Christmas eve and the rest on the morning of Christmas" said Keiran, Keiran was the protecting, strong and loving one out of the three children.
"Yeah mumma! Which one do 'ou wan' to o'en" Said Kora, he was still growing his teeth, also he was still learning how to speak which gave him a lisp.
"hmm let's see, honey c-could you get the rectangular-like one, wrapped in pink and blue polka-dots?"
"Of course, madame" The older male whom was the father, had said, he smiled softly at the fragile woman and got the present she requested, "here you are apple."
'Daddy always comes up with funny names' The young girl thought, all four family members watched as the fragile woman opened the gift, The gift was something the whole family bought for her, it wasn't much, but it meant the whole world to her.
"Wow, It's so pretty!!" She said a bit more loudly than usual, with excitment and joy clearly in her voice, she pulled out the small stainless steel necklace out of the box, it had a small gem that hung down the middle, she then asked Keiran to place it around her neck for her, she then took out the two earings that matched her necklace. She put them in through the hole in her ear lobe, the small yet beautiful earings hung down her ear lobe, as well as the necklace that lay right in the middle of her chest.
"Wahh, it so pwetty mummy!!"
"It suits you mum"
"Yeah it really looks pretty on you mum!" the three agreed, even the older male. After a while of admiration of how beautiful and stunning their mother was, they continued on with their tradition, each child and parent opening a gift.
Keiran recieved a necklace, it had a strong black string that held a chinese circle symbol. Kora on the other hand, recieved a medium sized teddy bear. Their father recieved a pocket watch, and (y/n) recieved, what seemed to be a gold coin, not just any gold coin, it didnt have a number on it, like the two and one dollar coins Australia has, it was a gold coin that had an emblem of some sort, it had a crest, a rose, and sharp thorns in a bush.
"What's this mumma?" The young girl asked her mother,
"It's a very special coin that has been passed down throughout the females of this family." Her voice becoming more hoarse and more rougher than usual, her coughs increasing.
"Oh, okay, I'll keep it safe!" The five year old said, she was intereupted by a loud yet soft yawn, it became contagious.
"Well you kids shouls go to bed eh? C'mon I'll put you to bed. Give your mother a kiss and a hug first okay?"
