Wildest Dreams (Taylor's Version), [0:25] - But this is gonna take me down.

David and Avery are currently in Avery's car on their way back to their house. They stopped by a restaurant to pick up some food for dinner when Avery spoke.

"Do you ever think I should start learning how to cook?" Avery said, setting the take-out bags down the counter.

"No," David approached her from behind and put his arms around her waist. Avery leaned her head back and closed her eyes as he kissed her neck lightly. "It would be nice, but you're busy and I completely understand. Plus, we've only been in LA for three months and we're far from settled."

David found it strange that she was bringing this up suddenly. He didn't mind if a girl he dated couldn't cook since he knew how to. "Yeah, but even before in New York. I never cooked from scratch, it was always you," Avery muttered.

"Avery... what are you saying?" David questioned.

"What if you find someone else that cooks as good as you do?"

David bit his lip. "Avery, I don't care. I like our dynamic and when I cook for you, its my way of saying I appreciate you. Where is this coming from anyways?" David asked as he took a bite from his plate.

"It's just- Whenever you get home from work, I notice the first you do is look for something to eat for dinner. And I always feel bad because I didn't cook something. What if I take lessons?" Avery suggested.

"You don't have to do that," David reassured her.

"What if I already did?" Avery replied.

"You've been taking cooking lessons?" David raised his eyebrows, impressed.

"Yeah. And I've met Matt, Matthew, and Lisa. They seem nice. What if we invite them over? You don't even have to do anything, I'll cook everything," Avery begged.

"Just the three of them?" David asked. He found his heart beating faster. If he was being honest, he hoped that Avery didn't think about inviting Jen. He could barely keep himself from napping on a couch with her, let alone her being in his house. In their house.

"Of course not, Courteney and Jennifer too. I haven't met them yet and don't you think it will be good for me to?" Avery said.

"Why do you say that?" David defensively said. Why did she need to meet Jen?

"Don't you think I need to meet you co-stars?" Avery laughed it off.

"What about the people you work with? I haven't met any of them," David responded.

"Well, you're free to meet them at their house. They're mostly criminals though since, I don't know if you remembered, I'm a defense lawyer?" Avery joked.

David laughed nervously, trying to hide it from Avery.

"So, you're going to invite them tomorrow?" Avery checked with where David was on the dinner party.

"I don't know if they're free tomorrow."

Avery frowned, "okay then next week. Although I know you don't want them to come, for some strange reason, I just thought we can get it over with tomorrow. I have the day-off, so it gives me more time to prepare."

David sighed, "okay."

The Next Day.

"Hey," David greeted the six of them in the coffeehouse set. They were about to film the closing scene for the first episode. After this, they'll be done with the pilot and David felt happy about that.
