Long ago, the patriarch of the Sarno family made a deal with the spirits of The Seven Deadly Sins. The deal went as such,
"For as long as the family wants wealth, fertility, and fortune, the spirits of the Sins will be intertwined with those of the family".
One chosen Sin-holder, usually female, passes the recessive gene onto one of their children, and that child is destined to have seven offspring, where each will inherit a Sin. Upon the birth of a Sin-holder, the previous Sin-holder will die.The family tree grew and branched, but it's trunk always remained synonomous with that of the Sins. Now, the trunk of the Sarno family consists of:
Phoenix Sarno - pride (26)
The oldest, patriarchy of the family
Luke Sarno - Lust (23)
Second in command, competent albeit unfocused
Elliott Sarno - Envy (20)
Cunning
Wyatt Sarno - Wrath (18)
The brauler, hot-headed and protective
Grayson Sarno - Greed (16)
Ambitious and charming
Graham Sarno - Gluttony (16)
No self-control, but sweet
Sage Sarno - Sloth (15)
The baby, but a bad-ass one
With the execption of Pride, who always goes first, the Sins rotate each generation to decide which host they will bind to. The family always remains powerful, but some rotations work better than others. The previous rotation left Sloth as number two, behind Pride, putting the family at a disadvantage. With growing tensions in other families, and in the outside branches of the Sarno family, that rotation left a big blow to the Sarno family name. Additionally, to avoid having young heads of family, the parents of The Seven Chosen becomes the family heads until the Seven are old enough. Unfortunately, the parents of the current Seven are dead, leaving a young, inexperienced head in their place. Now, it is up to the current Sarno trunk to clear their name and bring glory.
