The fight started with Baba who was at the far left side of the ring leader blowing a horn.

Agwo's maidens surrendered their pot one after the other as I watch him gulp whatever concussion it was down his throat one after the other crashing each into the earth afterwards screaming to his ancestors while the maidens took their leave.

Feeling nothing close to being intimated I felt a smile spread across my face while I undid the few buttons to my garment, letting it off my shoulders so it fell on the floor.

Whatever Agwo's representative was doing right now really does look stupid to me. But I was used to seeing this every now and then especially during meeting like this.

The burning woods fixed on a holder to luminate the field was burning with rage but the flesh of the wood was not going to let the fire just burn through....it was putting out a fight there by making the fire burn it's lenghts slowly despite it's rage.

By the time the rage of the fire would burn through all the lengths...I am hoping I would be alive cheerishing victory while they concludes the rest of the ritual in the total darkness embedded in the depth of earth.

With that I took my first attack towards my opponent without wasting time.

Kill or be killed, my alters reminded me

Yes I made it through. I wasn't the proudest to say i took 4 men out. I was still struggling to steady my breath while I felt my skin screaming in pain due to various injuries that would eventually join my cluster and group of scars on my body....

But I was disturbed about one I've gotten today....

The very first hit I got back  from the Agwu's rep was a blade drawing a line from the right side of my eyes to the side of my mouth . Anymore further would have spilt the narrow ending of one side of my lip.

Drenched in sweat and blood. I looked at my new   scar that was already a characteristics features on my face. It stung but I draw my fingers on it, accepting the fact that this was a feature I would have till my death.

"Luna sharp sharp abeg" Raymond my best friend whose family was also enslaved to the ring came to fetch me from where I was louged in the shelter of the ring .

"I just want wash myself up and  I dun pack already, Ray." I mouthed loud enough for him to hear while he sat on the bed available in the room with what seems to like his belongings to the side.

"Doctor dun come, we dun see blood for you self today, I just want us to reach there abeg."

I smile at Raymond. He was always looking out for me. His father  a fighting rep in EKUN.... hopefully we had never cross paths in the field. The moon he was fighting I was excused...and same for the moon I was fighting . I thanked the lord of the universe for that. I didn't want to imagine otherwise. It was a win or lose game. He had his wife in captive too...he had only 2 more years for this session of this somewhat slavery to be over and I was happy for Raymond even dou she was his step mum. At least they could decide what to clearly do with their lives without being commanded or treatened with a surprise box that had someone's freshly plugged eyes in it. Raymond mum was late since he was like 5 or something.

Pouring water on wounds was never pleasing but it gave me assurance that I was done and also alive till the next new moon maybe, I was was choosed again.. if I survived through. Watching your own blood wash down the drain was something that really made me go numb despite the tingling pain.

Soon I was done and we were going to go far away from this hell only to be back again.

"The wound is deep, I'll need to stich some of it." Doctor Akin said remorsefully even if he didn't intend to make it sound that way.

I layed my head gently aback  on the the chair in his small private hospital. While the doctor did his work. I didn't know how Ray got to Know him but the experienced doctor in his early 50's squeezed Time to attend to my wounds when ever I got  them.

He knows what we were doing but out of humanity or whatever sake he was serving us for, he
treated me like I was not a person that have taken down hundreds without a pistol.

Yes you're a living beast. An ulter Said in my head but I didn't give it attention.

"Where did we get this blood from"? I said out of the blue after the stitching session which he attended to the rest of the wounds present on my body.

" We found it in a group of  volunteers who visited the hospital last week."

My blood group was an O nevetive. One of the most rarest group in my country and the whole world apart from AB negative and B nevetive. Because of this reason most of the time I loose blood I have to just recover slowly with nutrient that provided humans with blood...thank goodness I wasn't a fair person if not I'd be looking like a newly turned zombie because of an obvious pale skin.

I watched as the skilled doctor pierced a vein in my arm so that the transfusion can start.

"Aisha kabeer" I read from the blood bag. I was interrupted from getting more of the information labelled in the blood bag as I heard my phone vibrate in my pocket.

"Ray What's...."

"Luna get out through the back door we need to gooooo!
Rightttt now!"

"Is everything alright?!" Dr Akin asked but I was already fleeing away with the needle in my vein connected to the blood bag hugged tightly to my chest.

"God! Lunaa!" I could hear Dr Akin say again from the door of his office while I sprinted through the hall ways of the hospital trying not to bump into patient, the ones walking, the ones on wheel chair, doctors, nurses and who ever was present at the hospital hall way.

The hospital was unnecessary busy for a Wednesday night.. the detective like alter spoke in my head.
Aren't you just going to just focus we are trying to get safe for Christ sake...the always irritated alter spoke..

"urgggg" I growl impatient with the battle my mind was trying to put out .

"You all just shut up!" I scolded sprinting into Ray's latest land cruiser. Not before the sound of guns continuously shots strikes through the dead silence of the already not so peaceful night.

I put my head back taking deep breaths, the blood bag still hung tightly to my chest as I continue to take deep breaths while Ray speed through the nearest highway.

"Calm down Luna, no be today we go die." He assured  squeezing my thighs.
