Go Back In Time

Prologue

Lots of people wants to live the life of Borah Benzon. Because why not? She got the power, wealth, fame, and beauty. Who doesn't want to be her? Who doesn't want to be someone who already have everything?

Even so, little did everyone know, Borah doesn't want to be herself anymore. If possible, she just wants to be a normal kid with a normal life. Even being a country bumpkin will do. She just wants to live her life with the one that she loves. With the one that she knows who will make her happy. But it is too late for her to regret it now. Because the one that she loves the most is not in this world anymore. Because the one that she loves the most already left her after she decided to leave him first.

She was the first to leave yet she's the last one to forget. But how can she do so if he's the only one she wanted most in her life?

She was momentarily blinded for the things that she can't reach before, thinking that it is the best thing that can make her happy. But in the end, she's wrong. After she achieved everything she's been trying to gain desperately before, she realized that it is not actually the one that she's been needing for. And it was too late for her to realize the importance of someone when he was still there. Because the moment she realized that he was the only one that she is needing, he had already let go of her hand to end everything.

The saddest thing in life is not when you love someone and that someone doesn't love you back. But the saddest thing is that, when you realized that you love someone, that someone is already gone, and it is too late for you to say the words 'I love you' anymore.

Borah regretted it. Every night, she's wondering if this is her karma for reaching something that she shouldn't have touched. Or maybe, this is the punishment he gave her after she broke his heart. Whatever the true reason may be, Borah never knew the answer even until she was in deathbed.

When Borah felt that it is already her time to leave the world, she hallucinated that the face of the nurse that is accompanying her is similar to her lover's.

"Are you picking me up now?" She asked to her lover's face in an almost whispered voice.

The nurse was slightly startled for what she said but he knows, this is already the last talk he and his patient will have.

"Yes." He replied in a second. He sympathizes with this old lady. He knows her story and how she lived her life in regret after the death of her lover. He only hopes that she will die without regret and be happy on her journey soon. So as he knows that she's now seeing her lover's face on him, he asked her, "Do you want to say anything to me?"

Borah's tears welled up in her eyes but never fell down. Slowly and in a low voice, she tried to say her words clearly, "I regret it. I really really regret leaving you behind. I only wish I can go back in time when we are still together, when I can still see and touch your face, when I can say the words that you wanted to hear the most before. I love you."

After Borah finished saying her words, everything went black for her. But the next moment when she opened her eyes again and saw her lover's still youthful face, shyly offering her a flower, tears fell down from her eyes.

'Is what I'm seeing true?' she asked herself as she reached out to hug him tightly.

Borah felt nervous when she thought that it feels like she doesn't have a sense of touch. Because the moment when she reached out to hug him for confirmation of his existence, she doesn't feel anything. She doesn't feel any warmth or cold, anything. It's like her sense of touch is lost.

"Am I dreaming?" Borah asked to herself and her lover.

"What are saying, Borah? You're not dreaming, okay? If ever anyone is dreaming about this today, then it must be me. To think that you'll hug me first." Her lover responded quickly to Borah which caused her nervousness be swept away.

Anyways, even if she's dreaming, all Borah knows today is that she is back in the arms of her lover.
