chapter three
lost

"DID YOU REALLY say that? You promised me!" I slowly open my heavy eyes to Ms. Park's voice. I open my eyes and saw Suhyeok and Namra on either side of me, sitting in chairs. In front of me was Ms. Park, Nayeon, and the rest of the girls. They all faced Nayeon with annoyed looks on their face. Jimin in particular had a nasty, twisted expression painting her usually calm features. Gyeongsu was sitting down near us too and Daesu was comforting him while shaking his head.

"Why does she always have something to say about me. She's such a witch," Gyeongsu groans, shaking his head in apparent aggitation.

"I did nothing wrong," Nayeon says bluntly to Ms. Park, face remaining unchanged. What even happened? I knocked out for a little while and they're back fighting. Nothing new but this time it seems more serious. Usually, Gyeongsu brushes it off after they're done fighting but our current predicament has caused us to be around each other more than usual. The isolation of our situation ignated the sparks that were birthed from the tight tension between the two classmates. "You only think of yourself." Jimin spits out from in front of Nayeon. Jimin tells off Nayeon and I look over to Suhyeok. "What's happening?" I ask with a whisper, sitting up in my chair. I run my fingers through my hair, neating it out.

"Gyeongsu got a nosebleed earlier. Nayeon thought he was infected, so we put him in the booth for an hour... you know for like a quarantine. After a while, Gyeongsu was fine so Ms. Park made Nayeon go in and apologize for accusing him. But Nayeon, you know her... she didn't apologize," he explains.

"Yeah and not just that, she said, 'you deserve to be made fun of,' and she called me a stupid welfie." Gyeongsu exclaims to me, putting his head in his hands.

"How long have I been asleep?" I look out the window, seeing the night sky stare back at me. Suhyeok just shrugs and replies, "I don't know exactly but a few hours I think," he states simply.

I continue to peer out the window, watching a few stars dot the dark navy backdrop. However, this made me realize one very sad truth. The whole day has gone by and no one has come to help us.

At least my headache went away.

Nayeon continues to go back and forth with everyone until Ms. Park interrupts them. "That's enough. Quiet, everyone." Ms. Park speaks, her eyebrows furrowing in frustration. "We'd be quiet if she was gone," Jimin hisses out bitterly, glaring up and down at Nayeon. Nayeon scrunches up her face before saying, "Whatever, you all are seriously fucking annoying." Nayeon's once stern, unrelenting facial expression was now one of hurt.

Suhyeok looked to down at me, flashing a comforting smile before turning back to the confrontation in front of us. Nayeon continues to fight back, defending her actions from before.

After a few moments, Nayeon points to Gyeongsu. We all turn slowly to see Gyeongsu still sitting in the chair, looking at Nayeon with annoyance. "Look.... Guess I was right." Nayeon says, motioning over to where Gyeongsu was seated. We all looked over at him and there was blood dripping from his nose. "What?" He says annoyed and irritated. We all just stare back at him.

"Gyeongsu." Cheongsan's lips quiver, warning his friend. Gyeongsu wipes his nose, seeing the blood on his hand. "I told you! You still think I'm wrong? Look at him, he's bleeding." Nayeon barks out urgently, turning towards Onjo. Perhaps it was just another nosebled. Two in one night, unlikey but possible. However, this nosebleed looked serious. The blood that dripped down his nose was dark, almost black, and it gushed down like a never ending waterfall. Just like Isak's.

Gyeongsu's nose starts to bleed more and more and the veins on his hands start to protrude. I stand up, trying to get away from Gyeongsu. He stands up and we all move back from him, afraid.
