Artemis sighed.
Her little brother was almost one hour late, but it was nothing unusual if one actually counted the factor of his hectic schedule and crazy life.
Had it been anybody else, Artemis would have killed them for making her wait.
But unfortunately, she was weak for her little brother's stupid smile and little rants about how he was the older one between the two, which was most definitely untrue.
Her twin was the biggest dork on Olympus who would go on bragging that he was her protector because that's what elder brothers did for their little sisters, and then laugh brightly when she poked him and reminded him not too gently that she was older than him, no matter what he said.
Yet, she silently loved his disastrous self and messy life.
But she would take this secret to her final stand in front of Chaos after she fades before even thinking about admitting it.
No one can know that the Great Virgin Man-Hating Goddess Artemis, loved her brother just as much as she hated him like no other.
So yes, one could say that Artemis was completely done with her brother in every way possible.
While this might sound quite random to those who didn't know her well, her mother stood testament to her statements.
It all started on that unfortunate day, when her conscious developed enough for her to begin to understand her surroundings well enough.
At first she had noticed the darkness that surrounded her, and the peace and quiet that came with it, along with the occasional soothing voice of her mother softly singing a lullaby.
Her Godly sense helped her to recognize things that normal mortals in womb couldn't do. It was there that she had learned to love the peace and quiet, and had begun to feel the yearning of being able to freely feel the world beyond her confinement at that time.
It could have been quite a sweet few months of mother-daughter bonding. After all, her mother Leto treasured any slight movement that she made to assure her of her existence within her.
But of course, it had to be ruined by a living, breathing glow stick.
Or that's what she thought until said glow stick formed a conscious as well and had taken it upon himself to brightly tell her that he was her brother.
Artemis remembered throwing a fit that day.
She had calmed down later after feeling guilty for hurting her mother, who tried to hide her groans of pain. But that didn't mean that she liked the situation either.
She had a twin brother. And she didn't like him at all.
Whenever things got a little quiet and she actually began to like it, her brother would declare with a grin that things were getting 'boring' and began singing a song in his obnoxious voice.
Artemis still remembered his first song. It was their favorite lullaby that their mother used to sing to them.
And whenever he found the dark to be too depressing, her brother used to begin to glow like the glow stick he is, almost blinding Artemis a few times before she could even be born.
