He sat drinking his milkshake as he looked out the window. Eyes glued to the bookstore across the street. He's mesmerized by the sight of the guys that are always there together. They play around when the store is free of customers as it is now. Once someone does venture inside one of them always greets the newcomer with a smile.
He's been coming to this sweet shop for the last five months. At first his focus was completely on his latest novel. He liked to find little shops like this one to finish his final edits. He would sit and drink, sometimes even get a snack or food while working on his corrections. He completed those edits three weeks ago, but something keeps him coming back.
He smiles to himself as he looks in the window of the bookstore again startled to find two of the men looking at him while a third glances over before going to assist a customer. He swallows at being caught before grabbing hold of his strawberry treat and taking a sip.
He looks up as the bell dings announcing a new customer. He startles as he's met with the eyes of two of the men he was just ogling. He feels his cheeks heat up as he focuses on his phone screen as they continue to the counter. He sighs silently chastising himself for his antics.
Shaking his head he picks up his drink again. Just as he does, he's startled by a throat clearing beside his chair. Looking up he locks eyes with the two men. They are even more attractive in person than they were across a street through thick panes of glass. He swallows looking between the two. One holds their purchased items while the other holds a book.
He smiles at me as he sets the book on the table. I glance at it before focusing on him again.
"Hi, I've noticed you like to look in our windows. Maybe you should... stop in the shop sometime."
His companion chuckles as he nods in agreement.
"I figure maybe this could help give you a push in that direction."
He slides the book closer to me as I reach for it simultaneously. Our fingers brush together and I gasp looking up at him. I pull my fingers back quickly with an apology on my lips but freeze as he runs a finger across the back of my hand. He nods before glancing at the other man.
"Yes, you should stop in when you have time. My name is Jungkook and that's Jimin. We'd be happy to show you around the store, maybe you'll find something you like."
I swallow before nodding, looking between them again before focusing on the book.
"I think I will after I finish this title. I'll need to get another."
I look at the other man, Jimin, as he laughs.
"Sounds good. Hopefully we'll see you soon... uh?"
"Oh... Taehyung. My name is Taehyung."
"Nice to meet you Taehyung. Hope to see you sooner than later."
I nod as I watch them leave the shop. My hand still tingles where he ran his finger against my skin. Looking at the book I wonder how interesting it will be as I read the title... "Their hands met, reaching for the same book."
