The next day Hannah was heading to school, however she was pretty tired as she didn't sleep very well. She was still processing what had just happened to her the previous day, when she saw Jake up ahead. She got excited and ran up to him calling out his name. When Jake heard someone calling his name, he turned to see it was Hannah.
"Oh hey, Hannah, how are you doing this morning?" Jake asked.
"Oh I've been doing great," Hannah said in a joyful tone.
"Oh really, you do seem happier than you did when you first got here. How did you cheer up so fast?" Jake asked.
"Well, I just thought of the good things that will come while I'm here and hey if my old friends ever get the chance to meet you and the others we can all become one big friend group," Hannah said cheerfully.
"Well, that's good to hear, and I'd like to have more friends as well as the rest of the group would," Jake said with a smile on his face.
Just then Josh ran right up to the two of them so fast that he almost crashed into them. "GUYS HAVE YOU SEEN THE NEWS?!" Josh screamed and questioned at the same time.
"Um no, why?" Hannah asked.
"Yeah, Josh, I know you would get excited when you hear the latest news, but I've never seen you this excited before." Jake said.
"Check it out, your guys brains are going to blow from this," Josh blurted out, then showed his phone to Hannah and Jake.
The phone had a video from the local news staion that said the following: "Mysterious woman appears and defeats a strange shadow creature and saves many." A reporter then showed up on camera and Hannah recognized the area as the cram school where she fought that shadow creature the day before.
The reporter continued, "This is the spot where eyewitnesses say that a shadow monster had suddenly appeared alongside a woman who destroyed it and somehow fixed all the damage in the area."
Hannah's eyes widened as she didn't know that this would be recorded and then shown all over the news, including the internet. She'd hoped that no one saw her transformed, and she would remain incognito.
The reporter then turned to a man who was an eyewitness to the transformative fight and asked him, "Sir, you said that you saw the fight, so did you see where the woman came from?"
"No ma'am, I didn't. All I saw was this bright light and then she appeared; it was like magic," the man explained, his voice trembling as he was still in shock from the whole ordeal he had seen.
Hannah felt a little bit of relief that all this guy saw was a bright light and not her transforming. She didn't know why but she felt like it was good that no one knew that it was her.
"Isn't it awesome!? A monster showed up near that cram school and this strange woman appeared and fought it, then disappeared. It was like magic," Josh said, his voice coated in excitement.
"Yeah, crazy..." Hannah said awkwardly.
"Man, Josh, if there's anyone who can give us the latest news it's you," Jake stated in his friendly demeanor.
"Yeah, I'm the guy you need to go to when you need the latest news update. I mean have you seen my social media and blog?" Josh said while waving his phone.
Before Jake or Hannah could say anything they all heard the bell ring indicating that classes would begin shortly so they had to get a move on.
"Op, we better get going otherwise we'll be late for class. We'll talk more about this at lunch time," Jake said before heading into the school building then to his first class.
