As Mike pulled up to Jeremy's house he could not help but smile and how neat it looked from the outside, a neat garden surrounded by trimmed bushes which had newly blooming flowers, a narrow pathway that lead up to the sky blue door, the red bricks had a slight discolour to them but it seemed to fit quite well. Various potted plants sat along the garden and some of the windows (excluding the attic one considering it looked far to dangerous to lean out of).
Mike slowly got out of his red truck and walked up the familiar pathway swiftly knocking on the door, he had been here many times before as himself and Jeremy had become quite good friends. It was rare, almost non-existent that a close friendship such as Mike and Jeremy's had lasted as long as it had at least in Mike's case it was, as thoughts of the activities to follow clouded Mike's head Jeremy's mother opened the door "Michael!" She smiled "So good to see you dear", "You too Miss. Fitzgerald". Mike had gotten to know Jeremy's mother well to, at first he had acted quite awkward around her but now she was like well his own mother before the tragic incident that had happened one fateful day at the bank but that story is for another time.
"Jeremy is up in his room, you can go and see him" she side-stepped allowing Mike to enter before she shut the door and walked back to the kitchen to sort out the letters. Mike looked around as he walked up the stairs, everything was either covered in flowers, butterflies or cats and of course he meant actual cats, Jeremy had about ten cats but only one of them belonged to him the rest were ones his mother had bought as house cats.
Mike had never liked Pebbles, from the moment that cat had sneezed on him as a greeting he knew there was a hatred between the two, you see the both of them craved the same thing, Jeremy's attention. It was true that Mike had developed a slight crush on the brunette..maybe slight was an understatement BUT the fact was that when he paid a visit to this house the cat and him would secretly battle to get the attention of the young adult which was easier said than done especially if you up against a cat that said young adult cherished.
Pebbles had been bought as a gift for Jeremy to keep him company before he knew Mike and Fritz, and still claimed the biggest part of Jeremy's heart to Mike's knowledge. Mike made it to the brunettes room without encountering the cat but once he opened the door the completely gray cat was sitting on the bed, staring right at him in a 'You had better fuck off' manner which pissed Mike off ever-so-slightly but he pushed the feeling back and cleared his throat "Jeremy?", "In here" Jeremy leaned back and came into view from the bathroom door connected to the left of his room with a tooth brush hanging from his mouth and held up two fingers before disappearing again leaving Mike time to hiss at the cat before Jeremy came into the room.
They, along with the other employees of the Pizzeria, had decided to take a camping trip to celebrate the start of summer which was a break from collage for Fritz and Jeremy but just a good time for Mike who was out of collage due to dropping out. Jeremy had a bag slung over his back and looked more than a little apprehensive, "What if we die? What if it rains? What if Pebbles is sad without me?..." Jeremy blurted out every question he could think of before Mike could even get a hello in.
Irritation showed on the older males face causing Jeremy to stop and go silent "Hello Jeremy" Mike smirked "H-hello Mike" "Good, now are you ready to go?" Jeremy stayed silent as he scanned his room his gaze finally resting on his beloved pet. The teen gave the cat a slight pat on the head then nodded "Ready", Mike rolled his eyes and grabbed Jeremy's wrist loosely "Then lets go slow poke" Jeremy squeaks a little as he is tugged down the stairs to say goodbye to his as if it was his first day of kindergarten.
"Be safe honey" Miss. Fitzgerald gives her son a kiss on the forehead and he walks towards his friends truck while said friend is held back for a moment "Make sure he sleeps okay, I trust you Michael" her smile was warm but the grip on the males arm told him she was serious so he nodded and bid her farewell before walking down the narrow pathway and getting into his truck next to the smaller male. "What did my mom want?" Jeremy asked Mike as he started the truck and started to drive "Oh nothing just told me to-erm-tell you Pebbles will be okay", sure it was a lie but the younger male bought it and smiled "Oh okay then, so how far is this place?" Mike ponders over how long it will take to get to the clearing in the middle of a forest not to far from where he lived.
