George POV.

"I only have a few minutes until my next meeting, but I'll find more time for you soon..."

His silhouette came closer to me and I backed away as far as I could to the corner of the room to put more distance between the Hawk and me, but of course it didn't work and he reached me anyway.
As he stood over me and looked down at me, he smiled and yanked me upright by my arm.

He held me by my shoulders and pinned me against the wall behind me before forcing his mouth over mine and forcing his tongue back between my lips, just like he did the last time I saw him.

I hated the feeling of not being able to fight back.
He could do whatever he wanted and there was nothing I could do about it, just like James promised him.
It destroyed me inside knowing what would be done to me, how I would be treated, and how I would get out of this situation.
As a rotten corpse, as a deceased man who would be tortured to death by this abuse.

My tears, my cries for help or mercy wouldn't help me.
Nothing would help me, the only thing that could distract me from my panic and suffering was the thought of death, which could finally free me from it.

His hands slid under my shirt, down my sides and he grabbed my waist, I just whimpered as his fingernails dug into my skin.
He finally parted his lips from mine and I was able to catch my breath, but he wasn't planning to hold them away from me though.
He began kissing down my neck and collarbone while his fingers found their way to my hips and touched them.

I tried to push him away from me by his shoulders, but it was no use as I had no strength left in my arms and he was stronger anyway.
My pleas to be left alone and not touched were ignored, useless.
My trembling cries for help made no difference.

Nothing I did helped while his bites on my skin made my neck bleed.
Nothing I did could stop him while his fingernails dug into my body, causing me to suppress pained screams.
Nothing I could do prevented him from using me and harming me psychologically and physically.

After what felt like an eternity, I heard the same sound as the first time he did this and was finally let go.
I sank back down against the wall, pulled my legs up to my body and laid my tear-stained face on my knees.

Before the Hawk left the room, however, he spoke up again, half to me, half to a girl who was about to step through the door to us.

"Just the water, he doesn't need any more food than he's obviously been given..."

The girl nodded and walked towards me, handed me a plastic water bottle and stood beside me as I struggled to open it, guiding my sore lips to the opening of it.
The man in grey got out of the room and left only a gap in the door as he finally disappeared.

"I am so sorry..."

She knelt down and looked at me with glassy eyes, but I didn't react and kept drinking the water slowly.

"I was forced to work for him, believe me, I wouldn't do this voluntarily."

She put a hand on my shoulder and half smiled at me, I put the bottle down next to me after I drank half of it and just stared at her, shaking.
I noticed a slight accent in her voice.
The smile didn't seem fake, but I still didn't trust her.
It could be a lie to make me feel safe, only to betray me, just like James had done it.

"You- you don't have to believe me. You don't even have to listen or talk to me. I just want you to know that I'll try to help you, okay?"

I looked at her with tears in my eyes, trying to figure out why she even bothered to give me hope.
It wouldn't happen, I wouldn't be helped, and I wouldn't be able to escape his plan, so why even try to comfort me when I knew exactly what was going to happen to me?

"I..."

The girl burst into tears and suddenly hugged me.
I didn't know how to react, what to do or say, so I carefully put my arms around her torso and waited for her to calm down.
She didn't break away from the hug and leaned close to my ear to whisper something to me.

"You're not the only one he's 'dealing with' here... Just the only one who's given the others some hope..."

She took a slow breath before continuing.

"...I swapped the weapons. They're not real explosives, not real pistols and guns."

She pulled away from the hug and wiped the tears from her face, further smearing her already smudged mascara.

"Maybe it'll do something... To change what's going on here, you know?"

The girl smiled and picked up the bottle to hand it to me again.

"He doesn't allow you to have any items, so I'll have to take the bottle back with me. Please, do yourself and me a favor and drink it up so you don't waste the only water you have..."

I nodded and brought the bottle back to my mouth to drink the rest of the water.
She smiled again and stood up in front of me before reaching into her pocket and pulling out something.

"I have a feeling the Hawk has a weird type of attraction towards sickly thin people... You're generally already at a line I don't want to see you cross, you need something other than just water, here."

She opened the wrapper and leaned down to hand me a granola bar while taking the now empty water bottle from my hands.
I gratefully accepted the bar and gave her a smile, which she returned before closing her eyes for a few seconds.

"By the way, you can call me Niki. If you need anything, you can let me know and I'll try to help you as much as I can under these fucked up circumstances..."

Niki smiled at me as she balled up the plastic from the granola bar wrapper and put it in her pocket.
I gave her a smile and struggled to get up from the ground, she eventually helped me to do that.
I carefully took a step towards her and hesitantly opened my arms to hug her, Niki didn't hesitate for a second and wrapped her arms tightly around me as she buried her face in my neck.
I smiled and laid my head on her shoulder.

"Thank you..."

My voice was low and shook a little, but she understood me and hugged me tighter for a moment before we parted again.

"You don't have to thank me, George."

I nodded and backed up to the wall to sit down again, listening to her speak.

"See you later, I'll come back in a few hours and bring you something again..."

There was a hint of pain in her voice, telling me that her visit was linked to the presence of the Hawk, and I nodded with a smile that told her that I knew what she meant.
She returned the smile and turned around in the same second, only to disappear again only moments later, shutting the door behind herself and leaving me in the dark basement once again.
