You stood in the corner of Sam's living room, smoking out the window, watching your boyfriend across the room, smirking at him and his mates daft antics, watching him ballroom dance Joe around the room, grabbing Sam as they passed him, maybe them dance as a three, which wasn't working.

It was an anti Valentines day party, on Valentines day. You couldn't really tell what was anti Valentines about it really, the lack of heart shaped balloons maybe? The lack of cheesy pick up lines and awkward dinner dates? No candles on the tables? No best dress?

You weren't really sure but you loved these boys enough that you'd go along with whatever and you wouldn't question their logic.

"for as long as we have you trapped here in this house," Sam had giggled as Bondy tried to talk over him earlier that evening when they were explaining their genius idea, "that's one less person making awkward small talk in a slug and lettuce over weak cocktails, waisting their money on shite food and a heart shaped candle..." they'd gotten the sentence out eventually though their explanation had made very little sense to you.

"But... I wouldn't be doing that anyway?" you'd asked with a little giggle, "my boyfriends right next to you..." you smirked, "unless there's somat you're not telling me B?" you asked with another giggle when the two of them looked at eachother with little frowns and daft grins which grew.

"Oh, yeah well, am doin yas both a favour then aren't a, keeping you both out of pizza express..." he grinned before abandoning you both, giving you instructions not to do anything mushy or valentinesy that might ruin the anti vday aesthetic.

"Yas are all nuts ya know that right?" you smirked up at Bondy who was smirking down at you, his eyes telling you that he was about to do something mushy and valentinesy that would ruin the anti vday aesthetic.

"Well it's more an anticapitalist stance see love, our Sammy just didn't explain it right..." he began trailing off as he took your cheek and guided your lips up to his for an already drunken snog, "and that didn't cost either of us a penny," he winked before taking your bottle of beer which was empty, dissappearing to the kitchen for a new one.

You'd thought that was where he was off to this time when he'd kissed your cheek and told you he'd be back in a second. You'd thought he was off for more drinks, but now you could see he had different ideas on his mind. Now he was ballroom dancing with the second love of his life as he so often affectionately referred to Sam.

You'd not been together all that long, not officially anyway and though this wasn't the first time you were meeting his friends it was one of the first times you were seeing them in all their mortal glory. You'd be lying if you said you weren't loving every second of their ridiculous daft behaviour.

You'd not seen Johnny let loose like this for a little while, the stress of the band had been getting him down lately and though you'd been trying to be there for him you'd felt a little useless, like you hadn't been around long enough to really understand what he was going through. Like you hadn't been together long enough to be there for him through something that felt as big as this.

"hey, y/n," you recognised his smiling slur as he came and stood beside you, taking a joint out of his pocket and offering it to you with a cheeky glint in his eye.

"you look like you wanna say somat?" you looked at him with a curious little smirk, watching his eyes as they scanned your face, admiring his serene, dozy little expression as he blinked, his lashed fluttering as th corner of his lips twitched into a smile.

"Did you know... I'm quite fondue of you..." he said, bit in back a grin, hi eyes lighting up when you giggled into your hand almost choking on your cigarrete.
