The Gryffindor boys woke up that morning to bright lights coming in through the window. James sat up right on his bed watching Sirius snore loudly. Even though James only knew him for a short while, he felt a close bond towards Sirius. He watched the other boys get ready to start the day, and just as he got out of bed he remembered the events of last night, specifically a person. Lily Evans.
James was still utterly confused. Why was she so...unimpressed? James thought he had everything a girl could possibly want. Great hair, looks, charm...all the girls back home admired James Potter. Why was this Evans girl different? James started to think of the future they could have together...marriage, a kid...two kids...three kids? He shook the idea from his head. Before any of that could happen he would actually have to befriend Evans first.
James walked over to the still snoring Sirius and jumped onto his bed. Sirius woke up with a start
"P-PUMPKIN PIE- wait what?"
James laughed and slapped Sirius on the back. "get up you lazy arse, classes start in ten minutes."
"jumps on my bed, nearly breaks my neck and yet I'M the arse..." says a sleepy Sirius.
After the two boys get dressed they race down the stairs and into the Gryffindor common room. The fireplace is still ever-burning. James looks around for Lily but she's no where to be seen. She must have already left, he thought. The two of them sit at one of the wooden tables and check their timetables. All the Gryffindor first years get the same timetables, as do the second years, third years all the way up to seven.
" Looks like we have potions with...Slytherin..." says Sirius making a face.
"Come on, they can't be that bad...can they?" asks James
"I really dont know, all I know is my family supports them, and I don't have the best family"
"lets just get there and see what happens..."

James and Sirius go down the winding spiral staircase towards the dungeons. They wait by the door for their professor. James catches somebody from the corner of his eye...Evans. He takes another look and sees her talking to a greesy haired boy from Slytherin...is that why she wasn't attracted to James? Does Lily Evans have a boyfriend?
James makes his way towards them, he doesn't know exactly what he'll say, but he'll do anything to get that Slytherin boy away from Evans.
"Hello there Evans." says James suavely.
"What do you want Potter?"
"Can't a boy say hi to the most beautiful girl in school?"
"Remember Potter, you're eleven years old." says Lily.
"So what? Anyways, I came over to ask if you'd like to get some Butter Beer during our study time?"
"And what makes you think I would want to go out with someone as arrogant as you? Either way, before you so rudely interrupted, I was having a conversation with Severus."
" Is that his name? well let me just tell him something. Don't you dare even think of going out with Ms. Evans, Snivellus."
"Watch it Potter!" says Severus.
"His name is Severus! come on, we're leaving." Lily takes Severus's hand and pulls him away from the presence of James Potter.
"Wow you really wooed her" says Sirius sarcastically
