You Received a Text!

February 10, 20XX, Vermillion City, Kanto

"Hey, guys, I'm back!" Chloe said as she walked through the door, having finished another day of school. She plopped her bag down on the table and removed its comments, immediately getting started on her homework.

"Hey Chloe!" Goh said, coming from the living room with a cup in his hands. His job as a researcher gave him a free pass from his academics. Provided he passed his exams, he's all good. Goh looked at Chloe's schoolwork and wrinkled his nose. "Do you ever get tired of school?"

"Do you ever get tired of asking me stupid questions?" Chloe retorted, not even looking up from her papers.

'Ouch.' thought Goh. "Well, I mean come on! You learn by listening to your teachers blabbering crap from a book. I learn-"

Chloe snorted "You mean you learned while Ash babysits you?"

"Yes, I learned while Ash baby- HEY!"

Chloe chuckled to herself. Her boy- I mean childhood friend just sets himself for these too easily. Chloe continued to do her homework while Goh sat down besides her, occasionally peeking over and going onto his Rotom Phone and browsing his internet. Suddenly, his eyes lit up. "Hey Chloe!"

"Hmm?"

"What should we do for Valentine's Day?"

Finally, a conversation worth discussing seriously. "Well, we can go to a restaurant." she said. "Or go to a cafe."

"Sounds boring." Goh replied, still scanning through his phone. "How about a hiking trip, or going fishing?"

Chloe gave Goh one look, and he got the message.

"Okay, not that."

Chloe then said "How about we go sho-"

"NO!" Goh didn't even let her finish the sentence.

"Okay, okay!" Chloe nervously held her hands up. Both she and Goh thought for some time, rubbing their chins. Suddenly, a light bulb appeared above both their heads.

"How about we go catch a movie together? Bingo!" They said simultaneously.

"It's decided then! But... which one?" Chloe asked. She rarely has time to watch movies, and neither does Goh. Her boyfriend scanned through his phone, looking at dates for movies.

"How about Pokemon in Love? It was directed by Cleavon Schpielbunk. Heard it was a really good movie! And it's romance themed, perfect for Valentine's Day!"

Chloe breathed a sigh of relief. At least he didn't want to see something like Mad Mewtwo or something way too extreme for her tastes. "Alright, it's decided. Also, you want to bring Ash along?"

"Sure!" Goh said. "Just let me talk to him. Follow me, it might make things easier."

Chloe stood up and followed Goh into the living room. Why he wanted her to come, she doesn't know. Ash is one of the easiest people to talk to, despite how shaky their first meeting was. And besides, even if he didn't want to go, just mention buying snacks for him and he'll be panting like Yamper being shown a treat.

Though it seems, calling him will have to wait. As it turns out, the Alola Champion is passed out on the couch, snoring away, his hat covering his face and his phone in his hands, screen still on. Pikachu sat idly on the ground, watching his trainer.

"Um, this is awkward..." Chloe stated, "What do we do? Wake him up?"

Goh shook his head. "Nope. Wouldn't work. The only thing that can wake him up is time and a Thunderbolt. And I don't think I can convince Pikachu to shock his trainer just so we can say something."

Chloe sighed. "Yeah, you're right. What should we do no- HEY!"

Chloe's eyes widen, as Goh is sneaking up on Ash and reaching for his phone! "What are you doing? You want him to kill us?"
