At young age, Jaune want to become a hero, like the story that his grandpa told him every night. where he can protect the innocent. He didn't do it for money or fame, he do it to make everyone can smile and happy ending. But something bad happen when he was 6 years old. His younger sister go to the forest, so he search her. But what he found make him scare for life, there is Beowolf ready to claw her. He jump between them and take the hit, he told her to run and grab the attention of the grimm. But luckily his father got in time, they are glad until jaune lost conscious from the blood lost got him. His dad rush him to the hospital.
His parents doesn't want him to become a huntsman because they know how dangerous that job is and they almost lost him. So his father tell jaune to spar with him without training at first. In the end he get defeated and his dad tell him that he doesn't have the talent to become huntsman. This make jaune heartbroken, his parents didn't believe in him.
But he didn't give up. He always train himself in secret. Everyday he wake up early so he can train without anyone noticed. But he still a kid and without anyone guide him plus he doesn't have much time to train, he didn't progress as fast as other kid.
So he forget his dream and continue his life like nothing happens, but he always put a fake smile because he still sad about his dream but don't want his family to get worry. And still try make them happy too, even though he sacrifice his happiness for his family. He get bully too because he was weak and the rest of his family is strong. He always get hurt, so he always bring aid kit and new clothes to take care himself and to change himself in case he got bully again. So his family doesn't know that he got bully at school or outside. he doesn't want to worry his family. his sister teach him become the perfect husband, he do it so he can make them happy. But seeing some his sister become huntress, he kinda envy them but doesn't show it and just bury inside.
When age 17, his grandpa at death bed, jaune enter the room because his grandpa want to talk him alone. His grandpa talk about the story about a hero when jaune was a child, this remind jaune when he was a child, this make him happy and sad. Happy because fond memories with grandpa but sad because he can't become a hero and his grandpa is dying. He know jaune isn't really happy and deep inside still want to become a hero. So he want to jaune to become a hero, he didn't train jaune because he was sick and too old, also his aura is gone because overused of his aura. This make jaune realize that his grandpa the only one who still believes him to become a hero. So he make a promise to his grandpa to become a hero, and arc never goes back to his word.
A/N=this will explain why he doesn't have much training and his parents doesn't want to train him, if he still want to become a hero, it will make no sense to him if he doesn't train himself in secret everyday, also this will explain he doesn't want training from pyrrha, he was tired of becoming the loveble idiot, he already do it at home. he want prove that he can become a hero too, prove that his grandpa isn't wrong to believe in him.
i know this won't be the same with the canon but this is background jaune for most of my trailer/story idea
