Hello, hello ! I bet you didn't see this coming. I'm insane, am I not?
I decided a while ago to stick to three books but you know I'm insane so of course I found a loophole. Here's the devotion archived explained.
Being an author (a generous title if I've ever heard one) means constantly changing, rerouting, deleting, and restarting stories. With Devotion, I do this very often, whether it's simply just taking a scene out because it seems unnecessary, rewriting a chapter I really liked because it doesn't seem fitting for the plotline, or even changing the entire dynamic of a character. For example: Aaron was originally a good guy... And we saw the route I took with that.
Since I really started getting into the actual storyline of Devotion, I realized that the story is a bit complex in my mind and sometimes I just wish I could show you all how I was intending to do something before changing it. I wanted some of the characters to have more background as well, for example, Meg... But I think it's fair to say that sometimes with Harry Styles fan fictions, people don't want to read that.
Originally I was going to wait to post the archived until the book was over, but I realize now that having it out could be really helpful. Some examples of what you can expect are as follows: Eden's guide to a healthy break up, shopping with Jackson and Eden, lyric break downs straight from my notes app, chapters I trashed, scenes I loved but couldn't fit, and monologues/ altered perspectives from characters I just don't get to write as often. Just little bits and exclusives, and extra little bits I've had in mind.
I will break the fourth wall in these chapters, especially in letters from your favorites to you, just like the chapter posted along with this.
I have no idea how often I will update this but it's gonna be fun. I hope you all love this just as much as I do. Thank you so much for the support you show me constantly.
