It was almost dark. Everly walked slowly by the line between the vampires and wizards. ‘What would happen if the two sides were one?’ Everly thought. She just wanted to discover the
other side, but her parents just wouldn’t let her. Suddenly she saw something moving, a creature was looking at her. She tried to catch a glimpse of it, but it went away just as fast as it came. ‘Hey, come back’!’ Everly was disappointed, but also very excited. ‘What was it, could it have been a vampire?’
A few minutes earlier:
‘Bye mom, bye dad! I’m going for a walk.’ Everly said, while putting her jacket on. She walked outside. There a friendly vampire just happens to be passing by, while going back home. He catches a glimpse of the girl and decides to follow her. Everly takes her usual road that leads up to the woods that connect the vampires and wizards. She starts to think about what happened at school today and how the teachers were yet again so impressed with her . While the mysterious vampire kept an eye on her, he accidentally steps on a branch. Everly turns around and is startled to see two gorgeous emerald green eyes looking back at her. After he notices her looking he runs away. Everly yells after him, but he doesn’t turn back.Everly starts to investigate around, but finds nothing and is disappointed to see that he ran away from her. After a while, Everly lost hope in finding the ‘creature’ she saw. After checking for the last time she turned around and went back home…
With a disappointed look on her face she went straight to her dorm room, in Hillwood High. She decided to write in her diary. ‘Dear diary’ she begins. ‘Today something really strange happened. I was walking by my usual trail close to the two sides, when I saw a creature looking at me. Suddenly it disappeared.’ Everly was busy writing her whole experience when she heard someone knocking on the door. ‘Come in!’ she says, while hiding her diary under her pillowcase. It was Lucas. ‘Hey wassup, what’re you doing?’ he says. ‘Lucas! Heeeyyyy, I was just starting on my homework…’ Everly lied. ‘We didn’t have any homework. We were the ones who finished all the work today, remember?’ Lucas asked. Everly became flustered by those words. ‘Yes….yes, we did. How did I forget?’ Everly tried to play dumb, but deep inside Lucas knew that she was hiding something big from him. ‘Sooooo…..why’d you come?’ Everly asked. ‘Wellll, I was hoping to spend some time with my best friend, but apparently you're too busy to hang out. You know, doing your “homework.” Lucas said walking out of her room. ‘No! I mean, no don’t go yet. How about we go for hot cocoa?’ ‘Cool!’ Lucas said with a big smile on his face knowing that Everly wanted to hang out with him.
