Everything was a dark, vast place. I looked around, just to see more darkness. I didn't know which way was up or down. I felt no pain from before. When I look sideways, I saw Todd. His eyes were closed. I tried to go over to him, but I can't move. I stared at him to see if I can send a message through my mind. It didn't work. I tried to make noise so he could possibly wake up. That didn't work. Why isn't anything working?! That was when I started to see a golden staircase rising out of the dark. Then the dark became light. Todd started to hover next to me. Then the light around me became a field of flowers, varieties of colors. I stopped hovering and landed in the field along with Todd. Except, he got lied down. I tested if I could move now. It worked! I jumped in the flowers, rolled in the grass, and took advantage of my time in this weird place. Then the ground, the soft grass, became invisible. Todd was still lying on the invisible ground. Below me I saw the place where I still lay in the bushes with Todd. Am I dead?! Why is Todd here too?! Am I dreaming?! I had so many questions that needed an answer! Why, why... WHY?! I started hovering up the staircase with Todd beside me. I had no idea what was up the staircase. All I could see was light. I want to have another chance! I don't want to die! I want to live! Suddenly, just as I thought that, a giant lady cat wearing a robe, even I wasn't worthy enough to see. " You don't want to go to Cat Heaven?" the goddess replied. "Well, I didn't want to die, your goddessness." I answered back. "Well, you have to, everyone does it so they can have a better life." she said in a moderate voice. " Oh, please, please, can I live, It's not my fault I died! Please!" I cried, " I don't think Todd wanted to die either, please!" I started to sob. "Hmmmm, alright, you may live because you are the only one who cares about perishing. And I will also grant you the need of my help at all times, here, whenever you need me, just say, 'Goddess, I need your help!' " She gave me a glowing amulet, and put it around my neck. "Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you!" I cried out for joy. But before I got the chance to say anything else, she said, "Oh, before you leave, I want to let you know, you only call me for emergencies only." I nodded, and said good bye to her. She led me back to the bush where I had died with Todd.
