Sydney started blushing and started to walk away. As she and David started to go seperate ways she heard his voice again...
“Oh and Sydney! Come back here at 8 ok?!” David looked back and yelled.
Smiling and blushing you yell back “Why?”
“Cause I said so!” He responded
“Okay” you yelled. Watching David jog off you notice him look back. Quickly turning away you kept walking down the beach. You couldn't help but smile as you thought about everything that just happened. You're first day in LA and you already met a boy, a really really cute boy. 20 more minutes went by before heading back to the house.
“It smells amazing in here” You say as you take a seat at the table.
“Its about time you got here, how was the beach? did you meet anyone? any boys?” Aunt Martha teased
“Well I got invited back to the beach tonight by a guy” You felt your face turning so red. Just the thought of David and seeing him later made you blush and smile.
“Oh no, not already you’ve been here less than a day!” Uncle Bob shook his head "This is gonna be a long summer isn't it?" He laughed.
“Sorry Uncle Bob” you joined in laughing with your Uncle “So...Can I go?” You asked.
“Well, I suppose as long as you don’t stay out to late” Uncle Bob responded.
“You need to be back by 10 o’clock ok?” Aunt Martha made it clear with her tone of voice that I couldn’t break curfew.
“Thank you thank you!” You were so excited!
Quickly finishing dinner while keeping up with the conversation with your Aunt and Uncle, You hurried to your room to get ready. Before getting ready you skyped Payton, your best friend from back home. Telling her every detail you showed Payton all the outfit options and chose the best outfit for the night.
Hurrying off skype and you started getting ready. Showering, getting dressed, straightening your hair and then doing just a little bit of makeup. Finally it was 8 o'clock! You waited till 8:15 and then headed out to the beach. Walking along the beach you spotted a group of kids around a bonfire. As you got closer you spotted David and continued walking towards him.
“Hey Sydney!! Over here” David yelled.
You walked over to David and he quickly pulled you into his arms. Smiling he gave you a big hug and even picked you up a little.
Trying not to blush you smiled and hugged him back. "Hey David". He then grabbed your hand smiling he started leading the way. He introduced you to just about everyone and then you two sat down by the fire.
“Do you sing?” David asked
“Does in my shower count?” you answered, both laughing you figured you'd ask him too “Do you sing?”
“A little” David smiled and picked up a guitar. He suddenly looked into your eyes and began playing. The song sounded so familiar but yet you didn't know the name. As he started singing you recognized it more and more.
“Oh my gosh!! I know this song” before you could even think of the name you started singing along with out even realizing it. You loved singing and didn't care if you were good or bad you sang anywhere and infront of anyone.
David suddenly stopped playing. You looked up to see David. He looked like he was thinking about something. David suddenly started leaning in, coming closer and closer your heart starting racing and next thing you know his lips were on yours. David’s hand suddenly rested on your waist and you couldn't help but move closer.
*RING RING* your alarm suddenly started going off. Breaking the kiss you looked at your phone seeing it was 10:30.
“I’m so sorry, David I have to go” you started running back.
“Wait, when will I see you again?” David yelled.
You quickly ran out of sight leaving David. Running into the house your Aunt and Uncle were sitting watching tv. "Right on time!" Uncle Bob broke the tension.
"I'm so sorry I lost track of time! I made so many new friends though" You smiled hoping they would let you off easy seeing how happy you were.
"Alright its ok. Why don't you go to your room and get ready for bed" Aunt Martha gave a calming smile.
Kissing them on the cheek you said goodnight and headed to your room. As the door shut you slid down to the floor. Tracing your lips, you couldn't believe what happened.
