"Good morning, Architect..." The employees said in unison, bowing their heads. I smiled and nodded at them.
I made my way to the elevator. I stared at my watch as I wait for the elevator to go up in my office. My phone rang and I saw my bitchy friend calling. Ano nanaman bang chika nito?
"What? I have a work to do bitch." I ask using a bored voice.
"Agnes!!! Omj I have a chika!" She said on the other line. "Daddy said that the known Engineer in the Philippines is here in State. He's going to your firm tommorow! And you know what?! Daddy said that he's single!" Nailayo ko ang cellphone ko sa aking tenga dahil halos sigawan na nya ako.
"So what? I'm going to my grandparents tommorow. Diko din sya makikita. And I don't care if he's single or what." I said and chuckled when I heard her scream.
"You don't have boyfriend because your so bitter! Sometimes I'm thinking, what if you're not architect no? Siguro madre na ka ngayon! Panget mo ka bonding! If your not interested, then akin nalang si Engineer Alcantara!" She said and end the call.
Bastos talaga, she's the who call and she end it without saying proper goodbye.
Hays, she said Alcantara? Uh-huh familiar.
The elevator open and my secretary appears in a front of me. She greeted me good morning and I greeted her back.
I walk towards my office and she followed me quickly when I got inside, telling me about my schedule.
"Ah Architect the blue prints are ready." She said and smiled at me.
"Is that it?" I ask and sipped in my coffee. Hindi ako nakapagbreakfast dahil tanghali na akong nagising. Nag-bar kami ni Polaris kagabi at nilasing ako ng bitchy friend ko, sya din ang naghatid sa unit na tinutuluyan ko malapit sa firm ng Lola at Lolo ko. Mahabang byahe Kung sa mansion ako uuwi kada tapos ng trabaho kaya I prefer to stay in my unit at uuwi lang ako sa mansion every weekends.
"Uhm ma'am, Engineer Alcantara will going here in your firm tommorow. He's known Engineer in Philippines and he'll be your partner on your up coming project in the Philippines next month." She read the info on her tablet.
"I'm sorry but I'm going to the mansion tommorow. Weekends right? My grandparents are waiting for me. Email Architect Miranda and let him talk to that engineer." I said and open my laptop.
"Okay ma'am noted!" She said and go out in my office.
After a long tiring day, I fix may table. I wear my grey sweater matching with my black scarf. I sprayed perfume to my body, I put some make up and when I'm contented, I took my bag.
I enter the elevator. I open my bag and search my car key. I'm busy in searching when the elevator open again. Someone enter but I didn't took a glace. Nasaan ba kase ang susi ko? Kainis naman.
Suddenly my phone rang.
Unknown number?
Noong una ay diko Ito pinansin pero narindi na ako dahil tunog ng tunog.
"Hello who's this?" I asked.
"Hello, I'm Engineer Medina from Medina Firm, you are? Architect?" He said and asked who I am.
"Uh I'm Architect Agnieszka Guinevere Castanier ." I answered.
Naramdaman ko ang biglang paglingon sa akin nung lalaki, ramdam ko ang titig nya sa akin. Diko na masabayan ang sinasabi ni Engineer Medina sa kabilang linya dahil sa bilis ng tibok ng puso ko. I feel butterfly inside my stomach. Gutom ba to?
Nang hindi ko mahanap sa loob ng bag ko ang susi ng sasakyan ko ay tumayo na ako ng tuwid at direstong humarap sa unahan.
Nakita ko ang reflexion ng lalaking katabi ko na hanggang ngayon ay nakatitig pa rin sa akin. Pinagmasdan ko ang kanyang reflexion mas lalong nagwala ang buong sistema ko.
He's handsome. Straight black hair. Thick eyebrows. Red pouty lips and those beautiful blue eyes that got my attention. He's wearing a formal suit and he's perfume, I like it huh, he smells good.
Nabalik ako sa katinuan ng tumunog ang elevator at bumukas. Agad akong lumabas, isinuksok ko ang isang kamay sa suot Kong sweater habang ang isa ay kapit ang selpon. Naglakad ako ng normal kahit ang totoo ay di ko maintindihan Kung bakit ang bilis ng tibok ng puso ko.
Diko na maintindihan ang sinasabi ng kausap ko, yes lang ako ng yes hanggang sa makarating ako sa kotse ko.
Nagpaalam na si Engineer Medina Kaya inend ko na ang tawag. Diko na napansin kanina ang lalaki dahil dirediretso akong naglakad. Binati ako ng guards pero diko sila napansin. Self wake up!
Kinapa ko ang bulsa ng highwaist black pants na suot ko, katerno nito ang white blouse na birthday gift sakin ni Polaris last year, pero ngayon ko lang nasuot. Inayos ko ang black scarf na suot ko dahil 6 o'clock na ng Gabi kaya mas lalong lumamig.
Nasan ba yung susi ko? Baka mamaya malate ako sa dinner namin nila Lola. Bubuksan ko sana ulit ang bag ko ng may nagsalita sa aking likuran.
"Uhm miss, is this yours?" He asked. Agad akong napaharap, I glance at his hand, oh my God my car key!
"Yeah, that's mine, thank you!" Kinuha ko ito kanya, at nagpasalamat ng di sya tinitingnan. Malayo pa ang babyahehin ko bago makarating sa mansion kaya kailangan kong magmadali baka maabutan ako ng traffic.
Pinaandar ko na ang kotse ko, saka tumingin sa side mirror. I was shock when I saw the man, nasa gilid na siya ngayon pero nakatingin pa rin ito sa sasakyan ko. Siya yung lalaking nakasabay ko kanina sa elevator!
Bakit ba diko sya tiningnan kanina noong inabot nya sakin Yung susi? Edi sana nakapagpakilala ako.
Uh shut up Guin! Pogi lang yun no!
Habang nasa byahe pauwi sa mansion tumunog ang selpon ko. Lola is calling....
"Hello lolaaa! I'm on the way na po, luto na ba ang paborito kong chicken afritada with a slice of manggo?" Malambing kong tanong.
"Yes apo, Lola cook your favorite." She answer sweetly.
"Wow! Bye na Lola I'm driving pa po, mamaya tayo magkwentuhan pag nandyan na me haha" I said and chuckled.
"Ingat hija, your Lolo is waiting here." I smiled when I heard lolo's voice. I bid goodbye and end the call.
Marahang itinabi ko and sasakyan. I stared at the dark sky. Maliwanag ang paligid dahil sa makulay na ilaw at sa liwanag mula wa buwan at mga bituin.
Dahan dahan kong iniaangat ang isa kong kamay, tila abot ko ang buwan. Marahang umihip ang malamig na hangin dahilan para tangayin ang mahaba kong buhok.
I stared at the moon, it's shining with the stars.
"Hi moon I'm here na ulit. I miss mommy and daddy so much.... 20 years na ang nakalipas pero di pa ako nakakamove." I whispered.
"Five years old palang ako mommy but you left me agad." I said while staring at the moon.
"Buti pa kayo magkasama dyan. Maganda ba dyan sa taas? Nakikita nyo ba ko dito sa baba? Look oh I'm a big girl na daddy, but daddy you know what I'm a crybaby pa din." I smile despite the tears.
"Dad, Mom, I'm doing great. I hope you two are proud of me. They said I'm so successful na daw kahit 25 palang a-ako. Pero alam nyo Yun dad, mom? Feeling ko andami pang kulang sakin e. At kayo yun mommy....." I said habang nakaturo sa dalawang magkatabing bituin na kumikislap sa kalangitan.
"Bye! We miss you!" I whispered in the wind and wipe my tears.
Before I open the door of my car, I stared at the moon and I remember someone. A boy who prefer to call me young miss.
He said I'm his moon...
