Tempted

Chapter 51

Raven's POV

I clenched my teeth waiting for the bullet to pierce through my skin.

THUD

Letting out a shaky breath, I open my eyes to find Keith laying on the ground with blood coming out of the back of his head and the side of the mouth.

I gasp and quickly scramble away from him.

"Dax. What the hell was that for?" Asked one of the guys next to Perrie.

"Boss showed up a little after you guys left. You can imagine how surprised he was when he walked in asking for these two and we told him what Keith was doing." Dax says as he walks towards me.

"He went on a rampage. Apparently he told Keith to take them to a different location, not kill them. He sent me here to kill Keith and bring the girls back."

"Well what about us? I'm pretty sure boss isn't happy that all of us helped." Dax sighs.

He picks me up by my arm and starts to walk towards a thing of trees.

"Brian calm down. Boss isn't going after anyone else. He said since we didn't know anything about his order that he can't hold anyone, but Keith responsible."

I heard the other three men sigh.

We continued our walk to the car in silence.

"Are you okay?" Dax whispers.

I silently nod my head.

Dax ushers me into the passenger seat of the car.

"Do you think that's a good idea?" One of the other guys asks.

"She won't try anything, right?" I nod my head and let Dax buckle me in.

I watch as he turns on the child safety lock and closes the door.

The other men drag a quiet Perrie into the back seat of the car. Dax quickly climbs in and drives off.

"So Boss has something planned. He said we can return the other one, so when we get back she's gonna get the chance to call Harry, let him know where to pick her up and then we will take her to the destination."

Perrie scoffs.

"What's so funny?" Dax asks.

"Harry and the boys aren't here. They're probably still in that stupid town and I'm pretty sure we are nowhere near close to that town."

"Actually we're a lot closer than you think." 

I turn and look at Dax, but he's looking in the rear view mirror at Perrie.

The rest of the car ride is filled with the guys talking about some football game that's coming on tomorrow night.

As we pulled up to the house Dax started giving orders.

"Take her to to her room and let her call whomever she needs to. We leave in an hour. We'll drop you off at park that's on the border of the next town."

Perrie nods her head and slides out of the car.

As Perrie is being escorted to her room, Dax runs around the car and helps me out.

"Why can't I go with her? Can't you make up some kind of lie." Dax sighs and shakes his head.

"I'd like to live."

"Dax please. What if your Boss hurts me?"

"Trust me. He won't hurt you. He just wants to scare Harry."
