Just as she suspected, Jennifer spent that weekend recovering from everything that happened in the dinner party. She was optimistic about wanting to feel happy for him that she forgot that it would hurt to see him with someone else.

Anything forced is resisting what it really is. She figured that by forcing herself to move on will only make Jennifer realize how much she truly likes him.

She tried to keep her mind off David in an attempt to take care of herself. She hated the fact that his lips on another person wouldn't leave her mind no matter how much she tried to shake it off. Jennifer watched movies, wrote down some of her thoughts on her journal, baked treats, played with her dogs, drank wine, and more activities that didn't come close to helping the state she's in.

While on her way to work, Jen thought of how the much-needed weekend went by slowly. Those thoughts disappeared as soon as she saw David ready to greet her with her usual coffee and charming smile; the two things that were always evidently comforting to her on Monday mornings.

"Hey. How was your weekend?" David spoke first while taking her in a warm embrace before giving her the coffee.

Jen sighed and relaxed herself in his arms, not knowing she was tensed. "It was good. I missed everyone. Lisa and Courteney would usually come to my house once or twice during the weekends, but I told them I was busy with something for the past two days."

Jen lied. She had just wanted time to herself to reflect on what she was truly feeling for the man in front of her. 48 hours wasn't enough as she's still thinking about what she truly wants with and from him.

"Oh, that reminds me-" David paused, looking up to think before saying, "Avery regretted not talking to you more on Friday. Matt pulled me aside and told me he was going to take you home because you were feeling under the weather. Were you okay?" he asked while pulling away from the hug while his hand lingered on her waist. He looked at her with a genuine concerned expression displayed on his face.

"Yes, I'm alright. It wasn't that big of a deal, I just felt like I needed to lie down. I had worked out before coming over to your place," she lied again while he nodded in understanding. Jennifer was so focused on David that night that she barely had any thoughts about Avery other than the times she saw her with David.

She forgot that the point of the dinner was to get to know his girlfriend. Frankly, Jen didn't care that they didn't talk a lot. Watching them be close to each other as much as she was close to David on set was enough to recover from during the weekend. She wouldn't want to know just how much she couldn't handle.

After a filming a few scenes, the three girls were in Lisa's dressing room having their lunch together like they do everyday. Jen had wanted to ask them what they talked about on Friday with Avery after she abruptly left without giving them a warning.

They both knew why she went home early and wanted to go with her, but also knew she needed space. They trusted she was in good hands with Matt and didn't doubt him for a second.

"You girls are not going to believe what Marta told me today," Courteney said with a smirk on her face.

"We're filming the fountain scene tomorrow?" Lisa responded.

"Wait, how'd you know?" Courteney asked.

Lisa snickered, "I asked Kevin what made you jump like a kid when you were talking to Marta."
