(Dipper pov)

I helplessly watch as Bill crumples to the ground in front of me. I help him up trying to have him lean on me as I try to lead him back inside but not before Gideon shoots him again and he yells in pain again as he collapses weakly onto the bedroom floor. I look back at Gideon and see the walkway he's un crumble under his feet as he plummets screaming.

I rush to bill, cradling his head in my lap as tears fall down my face. "Bill....."

One of his hands weakly holds onto mine as he looks up at me with a bright smile. "You came back."

"Of course I came back. I'll never leave you again."

"I'm afraid it's my turn to leave now." I shake my head no as I move the hair out of his face, refusing to believe that this is how things end.

"We're together now. It's going to be fine. You'll see."

"At least I got to see you one last time."

His eyes softly close and I watch in horror as his chest ceases to rise again, his hand falling limply to the floor.

"No no no no....Bill please....please come back. You can't leave me, y-you just can't! Bill!" I let out my heartbroken sobs as I softly kiss his forehead one last time. I see from the corner of my eye, the last rose petal fall. "Bill....I love you. I was scared to say anything because I have never felt this way for anyone. But even worse is that I was scared of being rejected. I acted so brave but the stupid thing is how scared I was of a simple thing such as rejection. I should have told you when I had the time and now....please Bill.....I am begging you to please come back to me....."

Hearing something shatter I look behind me and see the bell jar in pieces. The flower petals all glow a soft yellow light as they all fly up into the air and surround Bill, lifting him into the air as well.

Standing up I step back and watch in amazement as his extra four arms vanish, his black skin turning pale and his black hair becomes a golden yellow. All of his injuries are healed as he is put on his feet again, stumbling slightly rubbing his head before his eyes open.

He looks at his own body first in astonishment at the changes before he looks up and his eyes meet mine. "Dipper...."

He walks up to me cupping my cheek in his hand. Looking into his eyes I see at once that it is really him. I smile more tears flooding down my cheeks. "Bill...y-you jerk..." I weakly hit his chest earning a small laugh from him.

"Sorry about that. Guess I still have some flaws to smooth out." We both lean in and our lips softly connect, finally getting the first kiss that I had been dying for during the last few days.

We soflty break from the kiss as I run my hand through his hair. "You could have saved us a lot of trouble had you just done that a few days ago, you dummy."

"Well maybe I like making things extra difficult for you."

"You're going to be a handful to deal with, aren't you?"

"You know me." He puts his arm around my shoulders as we walk to the balcony. Looking down I see all the townspeople talking with the staff, them all turned back into their normal selves.

"Things aren't going to be easy for them, you know. All of this will probably take a while to get used to."

"I know. But after everything that we've all been through together, how much harder can it possibly be?" I smile as he gently kisses my cheek, feeling a blush rising to my cheeks.

6 months later

"Just hold still." Lumire gently scolds me as he readust the tie around my neck.

I try to pull it loose but he swats my hands away. "It's too tight, I can't breath with this stupid thing on."

"If you can talk, then you can breath."

"It's stupid. And why do I need the suit jacket?"

"Because it is a grand ball, not a child's birthday party."

"But I didn't wear one last time."

"Last time it was just you and the master. Now it is a ballroom full of everyone. So you must pull out all the stops and dress appropiately."

"I feel like a dressed poodle in this thing."

"Quit your fussing, Dipper, you look perfectly fine." He go to move my bangs but he once again swats away my hand. "And no messing with the hair. Plumette worked hard on it."

"Alright, fine. I won't mess with anything. Can I please go now before they start thinking I decided to bail?"

"Go go or Cogsworth will never let either of us hear the end of it."

I walk past him to the stairs, everyone on the dance floor looks up at me. I walk down the stairs where Bill waits for me, his hand held out for me the gold band on his finger shining in the evening light.

"May I have this dance, newly Prince Pines?"

I smile as I take his hand. "Of course, my old Prince Cipher." We both softly laugh at that as he leads me to the dance floor.

I catch my dad's eye, him sitting on the side painting everything. I give him a small smile as Bill leads me through the dance, it feeling just like the first time I dance with him but now so much better.

"You got a look on your face like you're thinking about something."

"It's nothing, just was thinking about the first time we danced together."

"You were quite a horrible dancer. Stepped on my toes quite a few times."

"Hey, I had warned you that I couldn't dance."

"I know. And I also know that I would never change a single thing about our love story."

"And neither would I." I smile as he kisses me again
