Chapter 351

An Hour Later - Casey Home:
Matt's POV: As I walk around me and Gabby's home here in Chicago, I smiled as I made my way upstairs to our room with some lunch. Walking in, I saw Gabby sitting in bed with Sofia while breastfeeding her. And that made me look a little puzzled to tell you the truth. I swore that she was done breastfeeding the kids. "Is there a reason why you're breastfeeding Sof?" Looking up at me, Gabby sighed when I asked her that. "I was just holding her and she continued to reach for my shirt. I undid my shirt a bit and she just reached for my breast." I nodded and agreed.

Coming to walk over to our bed, I smiled as I went to sit down next to her on the edge of the bed before setting the food down next to Gabby. Putting my hand on Sofia's head, I smiled at her. "You like this?" Gabby nodded when I said that. "I missed this." I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she said that. Bending down, I went to kiss Sofia's forehead and smiled. "Hi you. You miss mommy and daddy today?" Going to put my hand on her back, I smiled as I went to stroke her back. "I want to hold her for a bit after okay? You comfort feed, I comfort cuddle." Gabby smiled.

"That sounds like a deal." I nodded and smiled when Gabby told me that. Leaning in, I went to kiss her and just smiled as I took it slow with her. "Your mom says that she's going to take care of the kids for the entire night as if we were at work." Gabby nodded when I said that. "But if they come up, then we can take care of them." Gabby smiled when I said that and just went to grab my hand. "Thanks." I nodded and smiled when she told me that. I then went to get up and just smiled as I put my hand on her neck. "I'll be right back okay?" Gabby just looked confused.

"Where are you going?" I smiled when Gabby asked me that. "I'm going to get the rolling crib." Gabby smiled when I said that. "Uhm...can you put it on my side of the bed?" Turning to look at her, I nodded. "Of course." Gabby then bit her lip. "Okay, what's on your mind babe? Talk to me." Gabby then let our a sigh. "Can she sleep in here tonight?" I nodded and agreed with her when she asked me that and smiled. "Of course Gabby. I already expected that actually." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I said that. Going to grab my hand, Gabby just brought me close.

Leaning over her, I went to kiss her again and just smiled as I went to kiss her softly. "I just want you to hold me okay?" I nodded and agreed. "If you want to hold Sof in between us, then we can." Gabby shook her head. "No, I want her to sleep. She didn't get her nap." I agreed with Gabby when she said that and smiled as I went to walk away to the closet so that I could get one of the cribs for Sofia. I decided to just keep one up here because we both knew that we would want one eventually. Dragging it out of the closet, I smiled as I brought it over to Gabby.

Rolling it over to our bed, I smiled at Gabby and just went to set it up next to our bed. "Here we go, a nice crib for Miss Sofia Maria Casey." Gabby smiled when I said that and laughed as she just went to rub Sofia's head. "Come get in bed with us and cuddle up to us. I think she wants to have her daddy close to her too." I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she told me that. Going to grab the food that was on the bed, I smiled as I went to walk around the bed and then went to climb in next to Gabby and Sofia. Moving close to them, I smiled when Gabby rolled over.

Going to move my hand to Sofia's arm, I just smiled as I went to rub her arm and held her close while kissing her head. "Hey little girl, how are you feeling?" Gabby smiled when I said that and just looked at up at me. "Did I ever tell you that you're such a great dad?" I smiled and agreed with Gabby when she said that and just smiled as I went to rub Sofia's back again. Looking at her, I just smiled because this was perfect. "I swear, this is nice. As much as I want to work...I know that this is where we need need to be right now." Gabby agreed with me and smiled.

"Thank you." I shook my head when Gabby said that and went to grab her hand. "Hey...this is where I belong. If you or our kids are hurt...then I'll be here in a minute. Heck, I'll use my CFD car to speed her. You and the kids are my world. There's nobody I would rather take care of right now." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I said that. Going to put her hand on my cheek, Gabby leaned in to kiss me softly. She then proceeded to take it nice and slow with me. "I love you." I smiled and agreed before going to grab the pizza that I brought upstairs for lunch.

Going to grab some of the pizza too, Gabby smiled as she took a bite. "Nothing like comfort food." I laughed and agreed with Gabby when she told me that before taking another bite of our pizzas. "I already claim that I am going to burp her....I hope you know that." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I said that. "Trust me, that was already the plan. We can just cuddle as a family...the three of us." I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she told me that, glad that we are doing this. This was exactly what we both needed right now, to relax with Sofia.

Once me and Gabby finished having lunch, I smiled because I was not in the middle of holding Sofia on my chest and just going to rub her back. Tapping in, I just smiled because I was very comfortable with Sofia in my arms. Bending down, I went to kiss her head and just smiled because of how glad I was to be spending a bit of time alone with her. Hearing Gabby come into the our room after bring our plate downstairs, I smiled when she closed the door. Turning my head, I reached out for her and just smiled because I wanted to hold her close to me in bed.

Coming to join me in bed, Gabby smiled as she climbed into bed with me before cuddling up to me. Wrapping my arm around her, I felt her close the covers and just smiled when she cuddled up to me more. "I swear, Sofia looks so comfortable resting on your chest." I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she told met hat and just smiled as I went to kiss her head. "Yeah, you're happy to be sleeping on your daddy's chest aren't you sweetie?" Cuddling up to me more, Sofia nuzzled her head into the crook of her neck more while I went to kiss the top of her head.

Gabby then proceeded to wrap her arms around me and smiled. "She likes to cuddle up to her daddy." I smiled and agreed with her when she said that. Going to move my hand to Gabby's back, I smiled and then went to kiss her forehead softly. "How are you feeling right now?" Gabby sighed when I asked her that. "I feel like I made a mistake." Looking down at Gabby, I was confused. "What are you talking about babe?" Gabby then took a breath. "Should I really have gone back to work Matt? What if the girls aren't ready for me to be back at work?"

Turning my head, I looked at Gabby and took a breath. "Gabby, I am sure that this is just a one off. You went back to work because you wanted to help the citizens of Chicago during this hard time." Going to wrap her arm around her back, I went to run my fingers through her hair. "Gabby, you love your job, and we both know this is just you feeling regret that Sofia was in the hospital. She's fine and she's safe in our arms." Gabby agreed with me when I said that and just smiled at me. Leaning in, she came to kiss me and smiled as I took it slow with her. "Just relax babe."

Gabby nodded and smiled when I said that and then cuddled up to me more. Going to kiss her forehead softly, I smiled as I turned my head and then looked at Sofia while kissing her forehead. "You comfortable here in daddy's arms?" Watching as Gabby extended her hand for Sofia to grab, I smiled because it was absolutely adorable. Wrapping my arm around Gabby's back, I smiled as I went to kiss her forehead softly. However, it wasn't long before I heard my phone ring. Going to see who it was, I sighed when I saw it was Chief Hawkins. "I need to take this."

Gabby then looked at me. "Who is it?" I smiled. "Chief Hawkins." Gabby nodded and agreed with me when I said that, going to grab my phone so that I could answer.
