Numb

Silver laid at Mephiles feet, sobbing silently as the other watched with interest. "Please," the ivory hedgehog burrowed into himself, clawing at his pure white fur in attempts to make himself even smaller "It hurts." He cried further, his muzzle stained with tears and tinted with an agitated red. Mephiles leaned back for a moment before speaking "What hurts, Silver?" Glistening yellow eyes looked up at the dark being before looking back down at the floor. "I feel stupid and useless I don't like it. I don't want to feel this way, it hurts, how do I make it go away..." Silver's lips trembled as he held back more sobs and the other laughed "You are stupid and useless. It isn't a bad thing. That's why you have to stay with me," he brushed one of his hands against Silver's face and wiped away a tear "My poor pet. I'll make everything better." If he did have a mouth he would be grinning, however only his eyes held a glint of mischief to reveal his intentions.

Mephiles didn't even wait for the other to say anything, he placed his hands against the others forehead and focused his power. The snow furred hedgehog was confused at first however soon, everything left his mind. Every thought and feeling. All of it. His entire body went numb as his bright eyes took on a more dull shade. Silver went limp immediately in Mephiles' arms, his eyes staring off into the distance. "Ahh... I see that my new trick has worked." He picked up Silver's weakened body and cradled him in his arms "Do you feel better now?" He asked but was only responded with silence, Mephiles looked down at Silver to see those same lifeless eyes. He brushed away some quills and placed a gentle kiss on Silver's forehead "I'm glad you're feeling better. This is why you need me. Only I can make it better" He sighed to himself, holding the hedgehog closer and taking in his scent.
