CHAPTER SEVEN

We arrived at the mall, but the whole time we drove here it was Dilan and Luke yapping there mouths about who knows what , boy stuff probably. Anyways it was about 4:30 Dilan and I were holding hands taking our time , while turning back to see Luke was on the massage chair. It was funny to see him groan making everyone else leave. I was about to turn around when someone harshly bumps and interrupts our hand holding . It was a girl . She was tall short blonde hair light brown eyes and skinny like a pencil .

"Layla!" Dilan scolds looking angry.

Ahh so this is the famous Layla I wonder. She looks at me up and down and then at Dilan .

"Her ," she laughs "you won't take me back because of her? HAH."

I gave a look but not saying anything , instead I felt a hand on my shoulder it was Luke he pulled me over to the other side and told me to let them talk . I couldn't really hear what they were saying but by the looks of there face it didn't seem like it was good.

She starts to scream but then cry a little and I don't know why, she turned around and starts walking over to me , I caught a glance of Dilans face he looks upset he has his head in his hands not noticing that she walked towards me.

"Stay away from him" she says "he will never like someone as low as you."

Low? I questioned myself what does she mean by that. Instead i said "he doesn't want you, so why don't you just leave me and him alone."

"Oh sweety , " she said shaking her head and smirking she begins to walk away.

Dilan comes running to me "I'm sorry Hazel I didn't know she was going to be here." He pulls me in for a hug. I don't wrap my arms around him instead I'm trying to wrap my brain around what just happened .

"What's the deal with her?" I ask. He doesn't answer my question

he said "um I don't really like to talk about it." I could kinda understand why but on the other hand I was kinda asking myself why not? Now is a good as time as any. I dialed for Maria asking her to meet us at the mall near forever 21. Fifteen minutes later there she was I ran up to her explaining everything that happened. She looked at Dilan asking for agreement to tell me the story. She took me on a walk with out my brother or Dilan and began to tell me about Layla and Dilan.

"You see these two were inseparable ," she starts off and I begin to have a pit in my stomach . " it was them against the world they were in love . " the word love hit me like I just been punched . " one day they got into argument I didnt know why at the time , but it went down hill from there , I mean sure yeah they tried to make it seem like they were happy together but you could just tell they were having some troubles. Layla gets so jealous , they both do . She didn't like the fact that he talked to other girls . And by other girls I mean two or three, Dilan is a very faithful guy. But still she didn't seem like she knew that. But then I saw with my own eyes what she had done and it broke my heart that girl was like a sister to me , " Maria starts cry a little .

"What happened ?" I ask.

"She ..she was hooking up with another dude and it turned outed it had been going on for awhile . I told Dilan as soon as possible but he had already knew. Since the day they got into that huge argument , I told him he needs to do what is best. For the both of them.and the next day he broke up with her. He had major depression the next few weeks but Elijah Mikey and I us being good friends helped him over her . This was just two three months ago Hazel. I think you maybe the one he has been looking for I just hope you won't hurt him."

"Maria I would never , oh god since the day I saw him I asked myself how could he ever like someone like me, but he did . He means the world to me I hope he knows that. " I said to her by then we had stopped and sat down . She shakes her head and smile siping her tears . I gave her a hug And whisper lets go back to the boys .

As soon as we were insight of Dilan and Luke. Dilan comes running up to me picks me up and spins me around kisses me and doesn't let me go . "Hazel I like you I like you a lot ."

I giggle and say "I like you a lot too."

I walk over to my brother and he gives me a bear hug. I'm guessing Dilan told him too. I wrap my hands around my brother and give him the hug in return .

I turn around to everyone and say "let's go home I think everyone has had enough for tonight ." I smile.

Dilan nods and takes my hand we walk to the entrance we came in through. I could use some sleep.
