Chapter 7: Till We Meet Again

Chilling in his room while listening to old rocks was how Bakugou Katsuki normally spends his Saturday morning. It was about 11 months after the villain attack incident, and also a fair bit of time after the UA exam, where Bakugou shockingly learned about the quirk that Midoriya Izuku unexpectedly got his hands on.

Bakugou clicked his tongue, just thinking about it pissed him off. He wasn't in the same section as Midoriya in the entrance exam, but he heard how the greenette completely demolished one of the bots with - apparently - his quirk. Having known Midoriya as the useless side character all his life, obviously the news shocked him.

How did he get a quirk all of a sudden? Had he been lying to Bakugou's face this whole time? About being quirkless? No, he wouldn't dare. But if he did get a quirk, who would give one to him? And why him out of all people? Him, pathetic Deku?

Those were the many infuriating questions that swirled in his head, though he tried hard to not think about them.

'You're Gonna Go Far, Kid' by The Offspring began playing in his headphones, and Bakugou turned in his bed; he had decided to not let those thoughts ruin his entire Saturday.

Horribly enough, he soon heard his mom yelling for him from downstairs. Bakugou grumbled. Popping off one his earphones, he shouted back, "WHAT?!"

He waited for a response, only to receive silence. He rolled his eyes irritably and clambered up from his bed. He walked up to his door and threw it open, shouting, "I said: WHAT?!"

Yet again, no response. Bakugou felt his anger bubbling up, why call when you aren't going to answer? And with that frustrating thought in mind, he stomped down the stairs, into the kitchen.

There, he found his father quietly sipping on his morning coffee while reading the newspapers peacefully; his mother was seen munching on a sandwich without a care in the world, as if she hadn't just screamed the house down for him and gave no response.

He choked back the many insults ready to burst out and repeated, "What the fuck do you want, hag?"

His mother, Bakugou Mitsuki, raised an eyebrow at him, as if just hearing him for the first time, much to his annoyance. His father, Bakugou Masaru, nudged Mitsuki and turned to his son -

"Y/n-san called just now," Bakugou perked up at L/n's name. "She said she has something to say and is coming over right now. Judging by her voice, it must be something pretty serious."

Bakugou frowned; Mitsuki then pointed at her son, teasingly saying, "But since you were so slow, I bet she's already here by now." One cue, the doorbell rang, followed by two knocks.
