As the cold bit Marman's sore body, he continued to trudge on through the snow. It hurt every ounce, but he pursued his quest.

"Just to the top," he told himself. "I just need to reach the top! I can't give up now!"
But as he continued climbing, he knew it was no use, and as the icy wind whipped around him, Marman collapsed in the snow.

He was finished. There was nothing else he could do. He would just have to let the snow cover him and die.

As Marman lay there, soft tears began to trickle from his cheek to his torn wing.

"It's the end," muttered Marman softly, and then he cried in rage. "It's the end! It's the end! Everything was for nothing! This whole quest was for nothing! It's. The. END!!!"

Marman shouted these words to the sky. He stood up on his hind legs and roared with rage, and then he collapsed back down in the snow. He closed his eyes, but just as he was about to give up all hope, an icy voice called out in the wind, "Don't give up, Marman, don't give up."

Marman sat up.

"Who said that?" he muttered to himself.

"Don't give up..." said the voice again.

Marman suddenly had a strange feeling that he was not alone. Somebody else was with him. He looked up, and to his surprise, saw millions of tiny creatures circling him. The creatures were about the size of ants. They had bright golden, curly hair and blue, icy eyes.

"Who are you?" asked Marman.

The creatures suddenly started spinning around Martin's head. They went faster by the second, then everything went blank.

Marman sat up. Where the heck was he? He had just been, a few minutes ago, dying on a cold snowy mountain.

As he looked around him, he noticed large marble columns reaching the sky.

In front of him, were statues of dragons from long ago. He recognized them instantly as the most powerful dragons ever to exist:

Peganon
Farris
Orsol
Brethigar
and more...

Suddenly Marman felt someone touch his back. He swivelled around to face another dragon. This dragon looked old and worn out.

Marman gasped. This wasn't any dragon. This was the most powerful dragon ever. Marman recognized him from many pictures and paintings:

Grithnor Backlash
