𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 I do now? This isn't me. My whole body, heart, and mind, just everything in me feels like it's blossomed freshly when I'm with her.
Her smile, her happiness, even a single glance of her in my direction makes me delighted.
Damn it! What is she doing to me?
Soon as I halted the car before the mansion, Aadhya rushed inside, not sparing me even a little glimpse of her face.
I was quite amused as she hugged me like that in that position. The sensation was great, but I couldn't enjoy it for long because Aadhya had rebounded to earth, and then she hopped on her respective seat.
She was avoiding my gaze from that moment itself.
At noon, when I refreshed and arrived at the dining hall for having food, Aadhya was serving her dad some dishes and giggling.
My heart fluttered at her lovely smile.
However, when her eyes fell on me, she diverted her stare suddenly and said something to her dad before retreating past me.
And again, she didn't even give me a look.
I was ready to follow behind her but I quit my idea when her dad called me and asked me to have lunch. I have no idea why I couldn't deny his words..he is just so caring, I would say.
Besides that, I think he is the only one in this mansion who is not aware of the things going on between me and Aadhya.
Should I tell him now?
Well, let me try though.
"Hm...uncle" I awkwardly smiled at him while sitting on the dining chair opposite to him.
"Yes Richard" he raised his eyebrows and I cleared my throat before speaking. "You know...I heard arranged marriages are very common in India" he frowned then nodded his head agreeing to my words.
"So to Aadh- are you planning to marry off Tarun and Aadhya in the same way?" He chuckled at my words.
"It's their wish If they want to do an arrange marriage or love marriage...I will agree to either one" he smiled at me."Well, what If your children anyone loves someone from different nationality..will you approve of it?" He quit eating and gave me a narrowed eyes look.
"Does Tarun has a girlfriend in the USA? I thought he was interested in Maha.." he spoke to himself and I was becoming restless.
He is still not getting my hints!
Come on.
Uncle is too innocent for this world.
"Huh, Richard I will enlighten him later" I looked back to find aunty walking towards us.
"About what?" Uncle grimaced. "Later later" she mumbled declining beside him.
They are adorable.
So as their daughter.
Once I finished having food, I directly went up to Aadhya's room and knocked on the door. How can she ignore me..no I can't take it.
Within a few seconds, she unlocked the door and stared at me making me do the same.
For a good five minutes, we were standing like that and I don't know how to start a conversation. I had never failed out on finding the right words to speak but now I truly have no idea of what to say to her.
"Um...Richard sorry for jumping on your lap, I wasn't in my right sense" I savored that scene while here missy is feeling guilty about it.
"No, don't apologize Aadhya. I liked it" Her eyes went wide at my answer. I don't want to lie to her though. Let her be fed with my honest answers. "Ooh" she shifted on her feet.
"Am I making you uncomfortable Aadhya?" She frowned and shook her head negatively. "No Richard, I'm not used to people talking so openly" she tugged my hands and made me enter her room.
"Wait till you get to know Maha" I chuckled declining on the bed. Aadhya shut the door and gave me an amused look. "I want to meet her" she spoke, approaching me and settling down on the floor.
"She will attend your birthday party tomorrow," she beamed a toothy smile. "I'm excited!" she squealed.
"And I'm excited for your birthday" she smiled and held my hands. "Thank you for everything you did for me today Richard" my eyes went down to her lips.
They look so soft.
"Richard" I darted my eyes to hers and smiled. "I like you Aadhya...very much" she blinked her eyes in shock like I said something I shouldn't have.
"Mutual feelings Richard" I pulled her from the floor and made her sit on my lap sideways.
Hesitancy was there as she adjusted herself on my lap and peeked at me.
She smiled slightly before resting her head on my shoulder and shutting her eyes.
Goodness! It's happening!?
We are comfortable with each other more than I thought.
I let one hand wrap around her shoulder and another one, I carefully circled it on her waist, staring at her face for any inconvenience.
But whole opposite to my thoughts, she didn't move an inch neither her face showed any discomfort as I wrapped my hands around her waist.
Wow.
Time went past and I don't know when I left her room.
The day came to end rapidly. I still can't believe that Aadhya slept on my shoulder and sat on my lap willingly.
I was literally in a daze as I had dinner at night and returned to my room.
I kept alarm at midnight 12 am to wish Aadhya first and yes I did it! Well, that's what I thought before again slipping into slumber.
All my enthusiasm drowned in the sea at morning when Tarun explained to me about the stupid stunt I pulled the previous midnight.
How stupid of me to wish happy birthday Tarun on Aadhya's day and worse...there was her whole family in that room when I made that blunder mistake.
Dang, it! I'm sure Aadhya is gonna be angry at me for this.
I fucked up!
God! I huddled myself in the blankets again, frustrated at my foolishness.
