Fighting was in her blood. In her soul. It was something she had done for all her life. It came to her as easily as breathing. So why, with all her experience, was it so hard to fight him?
"I told you I was going to make you mine, and I meant it. So either you can accept it and make this easy, or you can fight. It doesn't matter to me."
She found herself fighting back a shiver at his words. His husky voice was a thing of her dreams, and the way his electric green eyes smoldered as he stalked towards her had her whimpering inside. Every part of her being screamed to give in.
Forcing herself to focus, she stands unflinching, trying to stare him down. "Do you really expect me to just back down? To give up my freedom and become an Alpha's bitch?" She folds her arms in front of her, giving him the coldest look she can, one that had sent many people running. Of course, it had no effect on him.
A deadly smirk crosses his lips as he stops in front of her, and his next words have her fighting more shivers. "No, I don't. And that's what makes taking you so damn fun..."
