Warrior Cats: The Prophecy (Discontinued)

Chapter 4

The moon was almost at its peak when a howl came from Dusk rock. Wolfkit blinked open her eye's, it was moon high. Ivypetal was already awake and was waiting for her kits to wake. Falconkit and Silverkit were already awake and were grooming each other. "Okay if everyone's awake let's go outside because Greystar wants everyone" Ivypetal mewed in a soft voice. She got up and led Wolfkit, Silverkit and Falconkit outside the nursery. They sat down just outside. A few seconds later Robinfeather and her kits joined them.

Wolfkit realised Sparktail and her kits were already sitting in front of Dusk rock. Wolfkit remembered Stormkit and Fernkit were now six moon's old and could become apprentices.  She also saw a light grey cat sitting next to Sparktail, but she didn't recognize the cat. More cats came out of their dens and flooded the clearing. A ginger cat walked over out of the medicine den and sat beside Ivypetal, Wolfkit knew who it was. 

"This moon high we gather here to name two new apprentices, Stormkit, Fernkit step forward" Fernkit and Stormkit then took a step forward so they were at the front of the crowd. "They have reached the age of six moons and are ready to become apprentices" All the cats looked at Stormkit and Fernkit then back at their leader. 

"Stormkit, Fernkit, by the power of TwilightClan I hereby make you apprentices, Stormkit, Fernkit you will now be known as Stormpaw and Fernpaw" All the cats in the clan started calling their new names.

"Stormpaw! Fernpaw! Stormpaw! Fernpaw!"

"Stormpaw you will be Tigerpelt's apprentice, Tigerpelt you had a fine mentor in Frostflight and I hope you can give all that you had learned to Stormpaw. Fernpaw you will be Pantherpelt's apprentice, Pantherpelt you had a fine mentor in me and I hope you can give all that you had learned to Fernpaw". A black cat walked over to Fernpaw and tapped his nose to her's and then a Brown tabby with darker brown stripes walked over to Stormpaw and tapped his nose to his. "Meeting Dismissed" Greystar meowed then went back to his den. All the cats started going back to their den's so they could sleep the night away.

The next morning, Wolfkit blinked over her eyes, she still felt slightly tired because of the meeting last night but she was able to get up and stretch. "Up already Wolfkit" A mew came from the nest next to her's, she looked right and saw Featherkit walking over to her. Wolfkit saw Falconkit and Silverkit were still asleep and so was Ivypetal. She also saw that Robinfeather was also still asleep. Sparktail had gone back to the warrior's den because she didn't have any kits to raise. After all, they were now apprentices so there was no need for her to stay in the nursery. Wolfkit didn't wanna wake anyone up so she silently stepped out of her nest and walked over to Featherkit who was now sitting at the entrance to the nursery. She sat beside Featherkit and stared into the clearing. 

"Your awake early, got something on your mind?" Featherkit asked, Wolfkit was close to Featherkit, she was the first kit to like Wolfkit when she first came into the clan but Featherkit always knows when something was on her mind.

"No nothing is on my mind" Wolfkit mewed in a quiet voice, but there was something on her mind, she couldn't stop thinking about Flamekit the kit she met at the river between DuskClan and DawnClan. "You sure because you've been off ever since you go back from running out of camp, you sure there's nothing on your mind" Featherkit looked at Wolfkit with caring blue eyes, Wolfkit was really nervous, she couldn't tell Featherkit about Flamekit. "I'm sure, nothing is on my mind" Wolfkit mewed, Featherkit's gaze changed from a caring gaze to an 'I know your lying' look. "Uh-huh sure, keep your secrets Wolfkit" Featherkit mewed then walked out into the clearing, Wolfkit was left alone. "Your up early Wolfkit" A mew came from behind her, she turned and saw a light brown kit walking over to her, "oh hey Leafkit" Wolfkit replied in a soft tone so she wouldn't wake anyone up.

"I know Featherkit's awake already I saw her leave the den" Leafkit mewed then sat down next to Wolfkit. "So who did you meet at the river?" Leafkit asked, Wolfkit was shocked how did she know about Flamekit?! "I have no idea what you're talking about... hehe..." Leafkit could see right through her lies. "Follow me Wolfkit" Leafkit got up and left the den, Wolfkit was confused but got up and followed close behind her. 'How does she know about Flamekit?' she asked herself in her mind.

They had gotten to the entrance to camp and sat in the shade of a tree right next to the entrance. "Why did you bring me here?" Wolfkit asked still confused about Leafkit's motives, "I know who you met at the river" she mewed, Wolfkit was shocked. "H...how you weren't there" she meowed to Leafkit. "I just know these things... you met a DawnClan kit correct?" Wolfkit knew what she was doing, she was asking Wolfkit question's to make sure she was right.

"Yes I did meet a kit from DawnClan" Wolfkit mewed, Leafkit smiled in a creepy way. "Was this kit ginger by chance?" she asked, Wolfkit nodded, but she was also getting very nervous. What if Leafkit found out about Flamekit, would she tell the leader? "Let me guess... You met Flamekit" Leafkit mewed with confidence. Wolfkit stared at her in shock, "please don't tell anyone" Wolfkit begged, Leafkit tilted her head to one side, "who said I was telling anyone Wolfkit, your secrets safe with me" Leafkit mewed. Wolfkit sighed "I'm glad" Featherkit then walked over to them. "Oh hey Leafkit, Wolfkit" she glanced at both of them when she said their names. "May I speak with Leafkit for a bit?" Featherkit asked Wolfkit, "of course, I was just leaving anyway" Wolfkit got up and padded away from Leafkit and Featherkit. 

Wolfkit padded to SharpStone's and sat down in front of them. 'How did she know?' she asked herself in her mind. Falconkit had just woken up and was walking over to Wolfkit. Falconkit had reached her and sat down beside her. "Hey Falconkit, what's up?" Wolfkit asked, Falconkit was yet again shocked, "I'll never get used to that" he admitted. Wolfkit didn't even pay much attention to Falconkit. 

"Something wrong Wolf, you seem kinda off..." Falconkit mewed in a concerned tone. Wolfkit didn't even reply, she just stayed quiet. "Wolf come on talk to me" Falconkit was really concerned now, Wolf was acting weird and Falconkit wanted to know why. "Is something bothering you Wolf?" He asked, Wolfkit still didn't reply. Her ears then drooped, "Are you okay Wolf... Wolfkit?" Falconkit meowed, her ears pricked, she turned to face Falconkit. 

Falconkit saw she was out of it. "Is everything okay Wolfkit?" Falconkit asked, Wolfkit looked at the ground. "I can't lie to you Falconkit... can you keep a secret..." Wolfkit asked in a soft tone so only Falconkit heard. "Yeah, I can keep a secret, what's up Wolfkit?" He asked, "I met a DawnClan tom~kit when I ran out of camp" she admitted, Falconkit was confused. "Why is that a secret?" he asked. Wolfkit sighed "I don't know, from what I've heard us DuskClan cats can't talk to DawnClan cats and if they knew I talked to a DawnClan kit they would kick me out of DuskClan?!" She mewed

"They won't do that Wolfkit, come on don't worry about that kit that you met, come on let's have fun" Falconkit mewed in a soft tone, Wolfkit sighed maybe Falconkit was right but she couldn't get Flamekit out of her mind.

'Why do I feel like I'm closer to Flamekit as more than just strangers...'
